Not working

This is the second of this type I have purchased and, it works well. Be aware it’s only going to work on 2.4ghz wifi networks with no support for 5ghz. The Tuya and Smartlife app are the same just with different names. The opening of the transformer should be in the description this would stop a lot of returns. It just fits on 15mm (5/8″) wire, I don’t think it would fit any larger. The instructions are also wrong for hooking it up to 2 legs of a 220v line. When it is wired to both legs of a 220v circuit one set of wires should connect red+ and black_ and the other set needs to be black- and red+. If it’s wired as the instruction states one of the circuits shows a positive value and the other shows a negative value making the total value incorrect.

DO NOT BUY – NOT ACCURATE!!!
The only thing worse that no data is bad data… For 220V split phase circuits, it’ll provide readings, but they aren’t correct; they’re reading high, as much as 60% high. Returned the unit and used the Emporia Vue 3 – very happy with that device.

You need a gateway to connect through !
So there was only one review of this WiFi energy meter.He claims that this energy meter will connect to your WiFi without a gateway.Well maybe with an android phone but with an iPhone, absolutely not!The Smart Life app you connect through specifically asks you to connect he gateway first!Then you connect to the energy meter!So….This short review, at least with iPhones is, you have to have a gateway like the MyLo gateway and that works perfectly with this energy meter.The Smart Life app is not that great and gives very basic information but is enough to see what’s going on.So if you’re going to purchase this energy meter, also purchase the MyLo gateway and you’ll have no problems at all!

Awesome and accurate. Easy to set up. Tried another brand and it was to involved.This is basic and sends reports. Getting more for family members home.
