    Cute and functional !
Very nice keyboard, keys/switches are pretty soft/smooth to press. Not silent nor too noisy. I like it.. only con is that the keyboard doesn’t have good lighting in the keycaps. It has a backlight but you can’t see the letters as easily as I would like.Nonetheless, it’s simple to set up and use. It has Bluetooth, dongle and wire options. I use wired. I purchased a coiled burgundy wire separately.I also like that you can use it with windows or Mac.

    thocky af
got it for my gf for xmas. she loves it but said the back light isnt bright enough to shine through for when she has longer nails. Her key points: connects fast, smooth to use and the keys are very “thocky” and its veryyyyy satisfying.

    Overpriced for aesthetics
This is the most overrated keyboard ever. Can barely see certain keys because they’re so dark. The lighting is beyond basic. I have the entire set and expected more features for what I paid. It’s only good for aesthetics

Gorgeous, “thocky” typing feel — but the backlight/legibility holds it back
I got this because I wanted something that looks insanely cute on a desk but still feels like a legit mechanical keyboard, and LOFREE absolutely nails that vibe. The lipstick-shade gradient keycaps and the lipstick-style ESC key are peak aesthetic, and the whole board feels surprisingly premium in-hand with a nice weight to it.Typing is the best part. The Gateron linear switches are smooth, and the gasket mount gives it that softer, cushioned bottom-out that makes the sound and feel really satisfying (it’s got that “thocky” character people chase). Connectivity is also solid—Bluetooth, 2.4GHz dongle, and wired are all there, and swapping between devices is painless.Where it loses a star for me is usability at a glance. The backlight is clean and classy, but it’s not bright enough to help in darker rooms, and the darker bottom rows with black legends can be genuinely hard to read. If you’re a touch typist, it’s mostly fine, but if you rely on seeing legends (or you’re trying to find function/navigation keys quickly), it can be annoying. I also wouldn’t be shocked if some units need a little TLC on stabilizers (spacebar/backspace rattle) at this price tier—it shouldn’t be a “fix it yourself” situation.PROS:Beautiful, unique design that looks premium on a deskSuper satisfying, smooth typing with a nice “thocky” soundGasket mount makes keystrokes feel softer and less harshTri-mode connection (Bluetooth / 2.4GHz / USB-C) works reliablyHot-swappable switches for easy customization laterCONS:Backlight is more “mood lighting” than practical—doesn’t shine through stronglyDark bottom-row keycaps + black lettering can be hard to readAt this price, any stabilizer rattle/QC quirks are extra frustratingBOTTOM LINE:If you want a statement keyboard that feels great to type on, this one delivers—cute, sturdy, and genuinely satisfying. I’m giving it 4 stars because the lighting and key legend visibility don’t match how premium the rest of the experience feels.

An absolutely great keyboard with a price to match.
The LOFREE DOT Lipstick mechanical keyboard delivers a unique blend of retro-inspired design and modern functionality. The compact 84-key layout provides a comfortable balance between desk space savings and full usability, making it suitable for both work and casual gaming. The hot-swappable switches and gasket-mounted structure contribute to a refined typing experience while maintaining a premium feel.Ease of use is immediately apparent with its seamless wireless setup and smooth switching between devices using the three connection modes. The keyboard responds quickly and reliably, and the layout feels intuitive even for extended typing sessions. The rechargeable battery holds up well, reducing the need for frequent charging and keeping daily use hassle-free.Sound quality is one of this keyboard’s strongest features, offering a soft, muted keystroke that feels satisfying without being distracting. The acoustic profile is well-controlled and pleasant, especially for shared or quiet environments. The color options and elegant white backlighting complement the overall aesthetic, adding visual appeal without overpowering the design.Durability is evident in the solid construction and high-quality materials, with keycaps that resist shine and wear over time. Everything feels tightly assembled and built to last with regular use. Considering the design, sound quality, and thoughtful features, the keyboard provides strong value for money for users who want both performance and style in a mechanical keyboard.

This is the first true looks-first aesthetic keyboard I’ve tried and I have to say, I’m a fan of the unique design! I love the range of colors and lipstick caps. It feels quite nice to type on once I got used to it. My daily driver for the past several months is also an 84-key keyboard, my Lofree Flow Lite 84 with low profile keys whereas this DOT Lipstick keyboard is not low profile. The transparent plastic body has heft to it so it doesn’t feel cheaply made or fragile. It weighs in at over 2 pounds (971.5g). I like that the keyboard has tall rubber feet on the backside to prop the keyboard up at a more ergonomic typing angle for my wrists (although I’ll note the feet aren’t optional, as they can’t be folded down or removed). There’s a USB dongle slot along the back edge to store the 2.4GHz receiver, which is always an appreciated design feature. It has tri-mode connectivity so you can connect via the wired USB Type C connection (with right angle USB-C plug), the 2.4GHz dongle receiver or via Bluetooth connectivity. You can Bluetooth pair the keyboard to up to 3 devices and swap between them seamlessly. I like this range of connectivity options and the ability to pair to more than one device (between my work laptop, home desktop PC and smart TV or mini PC). Sometimes keyboards only offer one wireless connection method – not so in this case.To switch between wired and wireless mode, flip the switch on the back edge of the keyboard:WLS: wireless (BT or 2.4) Press FN + 1, 2 or 3 for Bluetooth pairing/switchingCAB: wired USB-C modeOFF: power offI think the only thing that could make me love it more would be for it to have shine through legends on the keycaps, but that would maybe be too complicated to design with this style of dual-layered colored base key with transparent acrylic plastic overlay. It is backlit but not RGB though, which I don’t mind. The simple single-color white backlight (5000K) is very classy, and you have a range of 7 lighting effects to cycle through, and you can tweak the speed of the effects (Light Frequency) and the brightness level of the backlighting too. To do this, press FN + Up arrow to change light effects, FN + Left/Right Arrow to increase/decrease frequency respectively. There’s a little LED indicator that lights up when you have CAPS lock on located on the little silver aluminum accent on the left-hand side of the keyboard, right below the Caps key.The switches are Lofree Gateron (40g actuation force) and hot swappable, compatible with 3 and 5 pin switches. This way, you can customize it if you prefer tactile feedback, or a different sound and typing experience with your mechanical Lipstick keyboard! The ESC key is a lipstick tip – so cute!Battery capacity is 4000mAh, which should last a long time before having to be recharged, especially if you use the backlight on low light intensity. It took a while to fully charge it when I first unboxed it – the charging time from 0% to 100% is estimated to take ~5 hours.Whether or not you’re into makeup or collecting keyboards, I think there’s a fair amount of folks who would be enthralled to have it sitting pretty on their desk as the focal point of their set up.

If you’re looking for a stylish keyboard that will catch people’s attention and start a conversation, this LOFREE DOT Lipstick Mechanical Keyboard will definitely do that. First of all this is an 84 key keyboard so it’s very compact, but the keys are nicely spaced so it’s easy to type on. The feel of the keys is smooth with good travel and they’re very responsive thanks to the Gateron linear switches. They have a satisfying “clack” when pressed but are not nearly as loud or mechanical sounding as the keys on the LOFREE Flow Lite keyboard that I use.The keycaps have a lipstick inspired design and the ESC key actually looks like an open tube of lipstick. The tops of keys are transparent with the color layer just below the surface. They have black lettering that works well for most keys but the bottom two rows of keys are very dark so it’s almost impossible to make them out even with the back light turned on to its highest setting. The keyboard has tri-mode connectivity so you can choose to connect using the included USB-C cable, the 2.4GHz dongle or via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connection is very convenient because it allows you to pair with up to 3 devices and swap between them at will. Battery life is pretty impressive thanks to the built-in 4000mAh battery and smart power saving mode that turns off the back light when the keyboard is idle and you can expect to get about 14 days of normal use per charge. The keyboard arrived partially charged and the initial charge did take about 4.5 hours to get to 100%.While this keyboard looks great and is pretty nice to type on, the style just isn’t my thing, so I’ll be giving this to my wife since she absolutely loves the way it looks.

This is not only the heaviest keyboard I’ve tested but also the girliest by far. It reminds me of walking down the cosmetic aisle of a pharmacy or department store and there’s different shades of lipstick to choose from. Every key is highly glossy and resembles the glass bottles of nail polish on display. That is with the exception of the escape key which is matte and looks like the tip of a lipstick tube. It is remarkably detailed and amongst the highest quality I’ve seen. If I was a woman, this would be the ultimate keyboard for me. For a gamer though, the keys could feel a bit more slippery than usual. The keyboard supports BT, wired and wireless and comes with a USB cord and a magnetically stored USB dongle. It also supports both Windows and Mac layouts. While it doesn’t have flip out feet, it has heavy duty fixed feet that is raised high enough that anyone can type comfortably on it. The keyboard is also incredibly thick with no flex whatsoever. While typing, the linear switches feel smooth and makes a nice sound. It doesn’t seem to require much force to type. What I appreciate the most is that almost every important key is present on the keyboard despite it not being fully 75% TKL. That includes Prtsc, Del, Home, End, PgUp and PgDn. The only one that is missing is Insert which I’d only use in something like “vi”. That said, I do wish that it had a volume dial or make the escape key twistable like actual lipstick. A bit of a wasted opportunity there. As always, function keys double as multimedia keys. This also has a white backlight (no RGB). The lettering on the keys aren’t shine through but somehow most of them still remain visible with the exception of the bottom brown rows.I installed this keyboard on my mom’s PC and she’s blown away by it. The only thing she wishes it had was a numpad but at the same time, she’s also appreciative of the desk space saved without it. One of the top gifts of 2025 without a doubt.

My first impressions with the keyboard was how amazing the build quality and attention to detail is. The body/shell of the keyboard looks great, the keycaps are all perfect, and the switches all feel even and consistent. Aesthetically, you’re either going to love or hate it. The transparent keycaps look way better in real life compared to photos, even moreso when the backlighting is turned on.I found the typing experience to generally be pretty good, but there are some things I subjectively dislike. The rounded-top profile of the alphanumeric keys is fine and feels nice, but they put a sort of side-by-side rounded-top profile on the doublewide keys (tab/shift/enter/backspace), which often makes me feel like I’m striking the wrong key (for example, accidentally pressing Z instead of Shift) when I’m not, since I’m feeling that rounded profile under my finger. I wish they would have chosen a different, or at least more distinct, profile for those keys to easily differentiate them.I use all my keyboards wired, which is how I tested this one as well. I had no problems with connectivity or response time, it feels every bit as snappy and fast as I expected. The USB cable is a nice high quality as well.Overall, my impressions and experience with the keyboard are positive. It’s a high end, premium product… with a pricetag to match that. If the aesthetic grabs you, and you like linear switches, I don’t think you’ll find a product quite like this anywhere else. I think LOFREE’s asking price ($336.86CAD at time of review) is a little high, but in return, you get a very unique and niche design.

This keyboard is just plain gorgeous and a work of art: it just makes me happy every time I use it. The detail and look is just so nice and I really like that this isn’t some gimmick only: it’s actually a great keyboard to type on and feels really good.
