Ease of programming and fact that it does not connect to internet!!
CAVEAT: This is a review only 10 minutes after installing, and is subject to change if the item breaks or stops working as prescribed within a reasonable period of time, or if the battery consumption is unsustainable.Use Case: I have 3 young kids that constantly go into our pantry and take stuff without asking. But my wife and I need constant access without being restricted to a key. Ok, so I am treating the symptom and not the problem with this purchase.I was able to install in less than 10 minutes.I was able to program my wife’s and my left/right thumbs as admin. The thumbprint reader seems to work reasonably well given power/and size.The device is ideal as it does NOT require any network connectivity so doesn’t present a risk/threat to one’s home IoT network.So far so good, but we are still in our honeymoon phase.Update 09NOV25: I am two months into the honeymoon with this product. I have not yet experienced any of the other negative issues described in other 1/2 star feedback. The product is going strong and keeping my 3 live-in-raccoons from pillaging everything in our pantry. One word of advice: Program BOTH left and right thumb AND program a CODE. There are countless instances when your hands are wet and the reader is not able to get a good sense on your thumb. Bottom line: One of my best purchases on Amazon

False advertisement!!
I Purchase this door handle because it was the highest rated. I thought that would be an indication that I was getting a good product. Sure it worked great for three months until it started draining the battery, beeping and flashing nonstop wouldn’t let me in half the time, I had to use the key most of the time which defeated the purpose of having keyless entry. I reached out to customer service and They sent me an email and asked me to send them a video of what was happening and then I NEVER HEARD BACK!!! I was able to get a partial refund through Amazon which is trash because their product was supposed to come with a 1 year warranty which they obviously did not honor. It also says that the batteries last for 12 months which was really like 12 days!!!! PLEASE do not buy this! I’m only assuming that the people that gave it high stars were like me for the first couple of months and was very happy with it and those people just haven’t got on to change their review.

Great for the door between garage and house
Bought this for the door from the attached garage to the house. Pretty standard install if you’ve done a doorknob before- took maybe 10 mins. I set it up through the App because I already had it for other devices. Fingerprint recognition has been fine so far, i only set up one finger.I’m planning on bridging it with a gateway for remote management, but it’s probably overkill for my use case. Would not use this for the front door since it’s not a deadbolt.Update: bridged it with the gateway and now I can see it in my google home to lock remotely. We had our first really cold day this week and the fingerprint sensor absolutely failed to recognize me but I could still unlock with the code and the phone. Less convenient, but it worked.

Had it for over a year now, and I love it for my bedroom door. No problems with it so far. The thumb print is so convenient. Comes with a key and you can make your own pin. I don’t remember my pin but you have the other two options and can always reset it. 10/10 purchase. Con: didn’t have instructions.

Instruction are not in right order
This thing was honestly a pain to install. An it will stay locked so if u install it an lock your self out u will be stuck until it is put all the way together an finger print locked in. It shouldn’t beable to do that until installed. Setting up finger prints an codes are not simple. Unlocking with finger print doesn’t always work. It’s a great product I use it as a way for my children to get in after school as where I stay it is key fobs an not real keys to lock the doors. Buy this with caution but in the end great product.

I’m satisfied with this product. Was simple to install into my bedroom door. Just a reminder to buy 4 AAA batteries for this as they are not included. Was also easy to connect to the tayu app. My only issue is that it doesn’t feel super solid, like with enough force someone could break in if they wanted. I didn’t have a lock before and it still gives me peace of mind that when I’m not home no one can enter my room without actually breaking in and me knowing about it.

The plastic back cover hook broken after installed for 2 week . since I didn’t install right away when I received the lock, its passed the return window time. Tried to contact customer service but didn’t get any response from them so I contact Amazon and they extend my return time, allow me to return the item. But then I found a way to fix it with crazy glue and its work find until 2 week later, the outside handle broke apart when try to open door as you can see in the pictures. Again, contact customer service thru their email, website and still no response from them . Do not buy this garbage lock.
