Various Monitoring Parameters: The power meter plug can monitor the power (W), energy (kWh), volts, amps, hertz, power factor, cost, minimum and maximum power (W), cumulative days and time of your appliances. By switching 7 display modes, you can easily know the various parameters while the appliance is working. The home energy monitor can also calculate and display how much power your appliance uses and how much electricity bill it cost in cumulative time
Upgraded LCD display: With large screen size 2.36 inch x 1.85 inch, clearer monitor backlit, our electrical usage monitor can display the data clearer and more visible no matter day or night. 180°full wide viewing angles is great for reading and recording the data in any angles. No need to stand on the front of the display and bend over to read the numbers
Adjustable Backlight Time: Our upgraded watt meter has 5 options of backlight time. The default backlight time duration is 10 minutes(bL-0). If you want to change the backlight time, you can press and hold “UP” and “DOWN” button at the same time to enter backlight time setting, then press “UP” and “DOWN” to select the backlight time (bL-0 =10 minutes, bL-1=1 hour, bL-2=4 hours, bL-3=8 hours, bL-4=always on), finally press the “COST” to save the backlight time settings
Overload protection: When the power of the appliance exceeds the overload power, the LCD will display “OVERLOAD” to warn the user. All the buttons will quit working and can only be workable when you lower or remove the load power. The default overload power is 3680W and is adjustable from 0 to 3680W. In general, you need to set the overload power to 1800W before using. Just press the “function” button for more than 3 seconds to enter the setting
Data Memory Function: The wattage meter will record your power consumption data when you remove it from socket, or remove appliances from the electricity monitor. You can directly see the last data when you use it next time. This function can also automatically save the data when there is a sudden power failure
Monitor Your Energy Usage:Our watt meter power analyzer lets you track electricity consumption and manage power usage to help save on bills. It works as a voltage, kilowatt, current, and electricity meter. If you have any questions about your meter socket, feel free to contact us

Great tool to monitor power usage and electrical performance.
Great tool to monitor power usage and electrical performance. This watt meter is excellent for tracking power consumption, voltage, current demand, and power factor in real time. It’s very useful if you want to run your own experiments and analyze what’s actually happening with your electrical load rather than guessing. The readings are clear and consistent, making it easy to understand energy usage and efficiency. A solid choice for anyone interested in monitoring and analyzing power behavior at home or in the lab.

Works well, understand its limits
Easy to use, the one-page (double sided) sheet is descriptive and helpful. When used with an outlet where both are used, you can run into a bit of a problem. The unit “intrudes” onto the second outlet’s path. Which means if a two prong plug is used in the second outlet, it is likely that it can be inserted with no problem. However, a three-prong lug may be too “thick” to fully mate (see images). And if a USB dongle or power-brick is installed in the second outlet (see images), it is unlikely that all can be plugged in successfully. It can only be plugged into the top outlet without fully masking the lower outlet. The manual is good at hinting at tricks to be used for properly measuring an appliance’s power usage, like commenting that the refrigeration compressor being on will engage power measurements, while hinting that when the device is quiescent, no power is consumed, and the clock isn’t running. The display is bright and easy to read, even at oblique angles and in bright, indirect sunlight. The reset tool provided needs to have a clip or compartment in which it can be stored. I will guarantee you will lose this; I’m going to attach it with a string through a hole I’ll drill in the tool. I think you can safely use a ballpoint pen, although the mfg does not recommend this. My usage of these devices will be to measure the short and long term power consumption of various devices in order to properly size UPS-style battery backups for medical devices. I am pleased with them so far. I wish I could give a 4.8 or 4.9 because of the limitations I’ve outlined here. Not as bad as a 4, and not perfect either.

Great product and does a great job.
Versatile, accurate, love the backlight function and the additional short cord for hard to reach areas. Would recommend to others.

Excellent right out of the box (even with weird UI); great value
I use an Emporia power meter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CJGPHL9 ) to monitor whole-home and per-circuit power usage, but this product really allows me to focus on a single device. The display is clear and easy to read, and the values if displays are just the ones that I want to see. The “Function” button lets you cycle through the different display modes (e.g., Power, Voltage, Amps), and works exactly as you’d expect. Some display modes have a counter feature, which is also very nice – a graph would have been a nice add-on, but perhaps one wouldn’t expect it for the price, which I hasten to reiterate is very competitive. The unit is solidly-made, and has no trouble working with relatively heavy-current items, such as a 1500W kettle, shown in the pics.My only complaints about it are the directed to the user interface. They managed to find room enough to put four buttons on the front of the thing, but to clear/reset the counter display you have to push “Function” and “Up” simultaneously. I may be some sort of weirdo special case, but “Function” (mode selection) and Clear are the only operations I’ll ever care about, having set up the small set of configuration options. I expect that I’ll only use it once a month or so, and I’ll never remember the mysterious chord to reset the counter. I expect I’ll write the cheat code on the unit with a sharpie!

Slay energy vampires in your home with this device!!
I had always wanted one of these to help understand power usage through my home. This one has good good features, works well and is easy to read at a distance. All you do is plug it in and then plug in whatever device you’re interested in getting insight into. Quick and easy to use!I’ve now gone through my home checking to see what the power usage is of various devices, such as our trusty coffee maker, lamps, TV, Internet and other such things. All this in preparation for knowing just how much power we’ll need in a power loss scenario, so we can adaquately plan for a solar generator. If you’re interested in finding out where the energy vampires are in your home, this is your tool!

Easy to install
Great tool to watch how much each appliance uses…plug in any thing with a plug.It is surprising how much electric some things use when they aren’t even ON! Easy to use and can save you money!

An excellent and low cost way to measure wattage/kWh use around the house….
Got a pair of these to use for monitoring/measuring wattage consumption for various appliances and devices in our house, prior to having a generator switch installed in our house. In order to determine the branches to power through the generator switch box and how much each branch will consume for the total wattage and capacity of our generator, these two plug in monitors are proving to be worth their weight in gold! The display is crisp, the text sharp and easy to read and the backlight display, when needed, is a huge plus. The assorted options available for settings and view of volts, amps, watts, watt-hours, electrical cost factor, etc, are also excellent.Delighted with these and I might be ordering one more to monitor another major appliance we’d be using during a power-outage and generator use.My only regret is not being able to monitor 240 volt appliances like our oven/range and dryer, but, I’m searching for one specifically for this and if they’re available, I’ll consider getting one of those as well.As for these wattage monitors, delighted with their performance and the reasonable cost per unit. 5 Stars all around!

Easy to use meter to monitor electricity usage. READ the manual so you know how to use the device. Works great once you have it figured out.

Meter appears to work well, but the build quality isn’t great. Removing the thin clear film from the display seemed to almost pull the display out of the casing.

Useful bit of kit, the back light is a must for these devices as often plugged in away from you, this stays on for a full ten minutes which is ideal to pop back and see how things are going.it can be programmed with your tariff cost and work out current usage but as using a spreadsheet I just use the kwh along with minutes used.Good investment and would recommend this model.
