Great Projector!
This projector is amazing! After reading several reviews I put this on my wish list and when Amazon had a big price drop I went for it. I use it in our small family room with an 80″ 16:9 white pull down screen. Looks best in Movie mode. Colors are great and it is bright enough to watch during the day (room doesn’t have much direct light). Set up was amazingly easy. Set on a stool about 6 1/2 feet from the screen and started it up. When the Google logo came on I aimed it at the center of the screen. Once the OS was fully loaded I went into settings and had it do an auto keystone correct and autofocus. It not only did that, it resized the picture to fit the screen perfectly AUTOMATICALLY! I have it connected to my AV receiver via optical digital cable so we can get the full digital surround sound experience (assuming the media we are watching supports it). Haven’t had the opportunity to do much tweaking of the settings, but even out of the box on the Movie mode setting and ambient-adaptive light output set to on, it looks really good. And, it is very quiet in this mode too. Sitting with the projector right next to me I can barely hear the fan.It has many streaming apps built (including Prime Video and Netflix) in but you can also download Apple TV+, NFL, YoutubeTV so you don’t really need a separate dongle for streaming. After using a cheaper ($250ish) LED projector that was very satisfactory in a dark room, this is a huge upgrade and great value considering the features and quality.Highly recommended!

I’m blown away
This projector is fantastic. I was a little skeptical about buying a home projector, every one I’ve seen is pretty dim but this one is super bright(so bright actually turned down the brightness). My living room isn’t very bright but during the day I can actually see the screen very well it’s obviously a little washed out but still watchable. I have it on a pull down 120in screen and quality is amazing I have tons of 4k blu rays some hdr some not but man after a while I forgot I’m in my home and not at a theater. I have a surround sound system but honestly the inbuilt speaker is decent. The lens shift features is great for distortion free adjustment. But be warned it doesn’t shift left to right very much most of the adjustment is up and down which does go quite far. I have my projector near the ceiling and my default the center of the image is probably at the top of the screen and I’m able to adjust it down without keystoneing it. I can’t say anything on the “smart” features as I choose not to connect this device to the internet. I just have a pc and a blu ray player plugged into it. If you chose not to connect to the internet it’s the closest thing Ive seen to a dumb TV interface I’ve seen in years

Amazing Projector.
Just to set the stage. We have a dedicated theatre room, and have had a 4k Projector for a while. Since around 2019, that’s when we made the 4k upgrade. At the time we chose one of the top-of-the line 4k lamp projectors. It’s worked out fairly well. At the time, it was considered ‘bright’, by bright I mean roughly 1800 lumens. What this really meant was that a DARK room is required for best results. That’s OK, we have that, we have a dedicated theater room, with curtains and can darken the room. For movie nights, it was fine. Fast forward to 2025 and I want to use that room for more than just ‘movies’. Nobody wants to watch TV in the dark all the time and the projector just simply wasn’t useful with the lights on. It was a struggle to watch. So I wanted a daylight viewable projector, and also one with LOW LATENCY so I could game in there if need be.The problem, though was that all these laser projectors that met my needs were north of $3k and I wasn’t ready to do that. This projector is absolutely amazing. Marketing says it’s 4100 Lumens so more than double the previous projector. While I haven’t measured it. I did spend some time with another projector claiming 3800 Lumens and they were very similar. But I stuck with the XGIMI. Why? For the following reaons.1) Super easy to mount. Hard to tell from the docs, but there is a standard 1/4-20 screw hole on the bottom and that’s all you need.2) It’s portable. While mine is mounted currently, I could unmount it in about 2 minutes and take it with me.3) It’s not just a projector. It’s also a SmartTV (GoogleTV to be exact). While our media room has an AppleTV, all of that is piped through a 4k / Dolby Capable reciever for the surround sound. So unless I’m using the Google TV, I’m driving it through for the reciever for the surround sound. Having said all of that, the sound from the unit itself, in our room is pretty fantastic.4) Quick startup time, the other projector had significant delays starting up and shutting down.5) Color and brightness are out of this world. While some folks complain of ‘rainbow effects’ from laser projectors, I don’t see any of that so I’m super happy. But I also have a pro-level screen it’s being projected against. So for me it’s just 120 inches of awesomeness. It literally draws 1/3rd the power of the previous bulb projector. So what are the cons?1) The form factor is a bit odd, but I’ll take it.2) The fact that it has an integrated GoogleTV OS. Google could just decide one day to brick it or get out of the TV business and you’re hosed. That’s a very real possibility. But for now I’ll take the flexibility and roll the dice. I expect even better projectors in the next 3-5 years.FANTASTIC VALUE. If you can pick this up for $2k or less don’t hessitate. It will change your projector world.

This is an excellent projector that can truly offer a cinematic experience at home. It has many useful features like lens shift, optical zoom that allow flexible projection from the side etc. without any distortion. The brightness is quite good and you can still watch content with light on, even though you need to turn off the lights or keep ambient light to a minimum to enjoy the best of this projector(any projector for that matter). The UI is fast and seamless without any obvious bugs. One issue that I noticed was that when Dynamic Black Level Enhancement is turned on under Picture settings, it seems to shift the colors to a bluish/reddish tinge sometimes for a few frames and switches back to original color, which is really frustrating and they should fix that bug.The connectivity options are excellent with 2 HDMI ports with 1 port supporting HDMI eARC and native Netflix support in the native Google OS itself, unlike previous XGIMI projectors where we had to use a streaming device and connect it via HDMI to get Netflix. For this price this projector projects in 4K(pixel shifted ofcourse, only Sony and JVC have true 4K in the home theatre space, but offer much less brightness at more than double the price),supports Dolby Vision, offers as much, if not more brightness than competitors, comes with a built-in stand that can allow the project to turn to any direction vertically or horizontally and stay there, comes with a premium back-lit remote.Even though you might be able to nit pick about a few things like sharpness compared to competitors etc.,the whole package is hard to beat.It offers a 2 year waranty and anyone looking to upgrade from their TVs to a much bigger screen size should go for it, its a great experience worth the price.

excellent 4k Laser projector, luminance in gr8 even in day light. Netflix dolly vision videos also run great. Gaming is the best that I have experienced in it with hardly any lag. Go for it if want to play counter strike like games and want imax/dobly vision experience.

Good projector and I can say it’s really worth to buy it, quality and options are amazing. Really enjoyed watching in this HDR videos, sound is perfect, and no need to connect any external speakers and base is deeper with Harman kardon system. Seller is giving good support and suggested me not to waste money on screen, so I just did Royal mat paint on wall with 135 inch screen, amazing quality… thanks Frootle india for your support

The projector is an excellent product if you are looking to step up your movie or ott experience. The max has high lumens which enables projecting it on any plain wall and getting a 4k theater experience. I have used the project for a couple of weeks and I am very happy with the purchase. Definatly recommend it. Can be used as a portable projector as long as you have a power connection . Also love the packaging which can be used as a permanent case.

I just bought the XGIMI Horizon 20 laser projector, and I’m really impressed. The picture is super bright and colorful, even during the day, thanks to the triple laser tech. Setup was a breeze with autofocus and lens shift, and the sound from the Harman Kardon speakers is surprisingly powerful. It’s perfect for movies and gaming at home.
