Didn’t work
This is the third tone I’ve installed something like these for my kids. The first time with this brand. We got them all strung up and plugged them in to find out they didn’t work. Next time I’ll test them first lol send this one just might be defective? They are pretty simple to plug in. I gave three starts bc they are allowing us to return them but don’t deserve less than three. I don’t want to hurt their rating too much just bc of one defective product.

We were skeptical about these lights but they did not disappoint!
We recently had a patio cover installed and we thought it would be cool to have some lights added to the perimeter of the patio cover. We searched Amazon and found that there were tons of choices when it came to light strips. Our new patio cover was about 30 feet long and 11 feet wide, so that helped to narrow down our options.We finally chose these lights because 1) they were 100ft, so they were long enough to cover the area, 2) they could be trimmed if needed, 3) they were self-adhesive, 4) they had a remote control, and 5) they were very reasonably priced.We knew that these lights were not specifically “outdoor” lights, but we thought that for the low price, we would give them a try to see how it looked and then once they stopped working, we might consider getting actual “outdoor” light strips which were significant higher priced.We put the light strip up in November and the whole process was surprisingly easy. Since then, we have had several hard rainstorms but these lights have survived. Last week, we had another rain storm that went on for hours. It tripped our breaker and made all of the Christmas lights in the front yard, as well as this light strip, go out. The next day, we reset the breaker and to our surprise, the light strip was still working. Pretty impressive!We have the app downloaded on our iPhone and it is seamless. We really like how easy it is to change the colors and pulse of the lights from our phone. So far, we have no complaints and have actually been really impressed with this light strip.We live in Arizona so the weather has been really beautiful. If these lights last until the summer, I will update this review to let you know if the lights we able to survive our 100+ degree summer.

Bought a 2nd Set!
I’m not sure what or why others are having any negative issues with these LEDs. My first set I never stuck to the ceiling yet I had them laid across industrial heat ducts along my old apt livingroom and so they handled the bit of warmth for a few months.Once I moved into my boyfriends house I decided to actually use the tacky strip back and run them around our bedroom at top of walls not the ceiling, definitely wipe with a light cleaner and rag first wherever you choice to put them for best results. Don’t be lazy with that and then turn around and leave a review saying they don’t stick good because they absolutely do!I only used 50ft and one connection that fit our room perfectly around and I plan on using other 50ft to run out into hallway for fun and a kids bathroom nightlight being if you use the app and not the remote, you can set a daily timer for these! So every evening my bedroom ones turn on around 7pm and I have them shut off around 3am, once I add the strip going out our door and into the hallway that is perfect timing for lights for the kids during the night.So I decided to go back in my orders a year later and order another set. I got so used to the Christmas lights I put up in our kitchen that it made me sad to take those down, so I got these again for that purpose.I just hung up 50ft of one strip and am about to put up the other 50ft. I’ll update with photos of both rooms.Yellow is my bedroom older set. Blue is the kitchen about 15 mins ago when they worked just fine AFTER I finally figured out that you cut them on the gold lines!!! But keep reading below lolUPDATE 15 MINS LATER. NOW IM JUST ANGRY!AND IGNORE EVERYTHING ABOVE LOLSo I had my other 50 ft strip from my original lights not being used. So I attached those to the 2nd connection and they didn’t turn on. So I took out the 2nd set of 50ft that I just bought currently and switched the older strip to the plug connection and they worked. So then I’m thinking the 2nd connection doesn’t work at all.So being i only used one 50ft strip in my bedroom I just climbed up dragging the ladder around my house, switched plug boxes all around. Took old box to kitchen plugged both strips in and NEITHER work so I went and switched power boxes again, my bedroom lights turned back on thank God with the original power box, so I went back to try the new one that was JUST WORKING well one of the connections did, and now neither the new remaining 50ft strip works or the older one I never used or plugged in yet. So now I’m thinking the power supply box is garbage and after spending now a total of 3 hours in the last days hanging them on a rush time frame to get things done before Saturday my boyfriends 50th bday party. Now I have to take these down a second time RETURN THEM and hope there’s some that will show up tomorrow off Amazon or I’ll go buy some from the store. Now I’m torn with my review because this shouldn’t be this frustrating and the first set works great. This set isn’t working at all now and I’m angry and I’m returning them today! So good luck on your gamble on these ones I guess lol

The pros and cons:Pros:LEDs are nice and bright. With the hand remote, you can select many static colors, or jumping colors, or fading colors or for fun, lights changing to sounds/music. There are several options for that.The app is very simple to use. Using the app, with this kit connected to WiFi (It doesn’t use the remote) you can choose any color (not just a selected few). There’s options to trigger lights via music and the app allows you to choose which microphone to use. The smart phone’s microphone or the device’s on-board mic. Then there are several themes to choose from for how the LEDs respond to the music.This works very well.Using the app and when connected to Alexa or Google Assistant, you can then see on/off schedules.It was very easy to connect this to Google Assistant.Cons:The package that it came in looks nothing like the package in the picture.The remote that came with it looks nothing like the remote in the picture!At first, that concerned me as the remote in the package is a very basic remote with a white backgroud.However, after testing it for a while, I realized that it has some options that the remote in the picture doesn’t clearly show.All in all, I do like this kit and would recommend it.
