Curious design choice means you can’t plug two into a duplex receptacle
The shape of these things means that you cannot plug two of them into the same North American duplex receptacle (see photo). I don’t do this all that often anyway, so it’s not entirely a deal breaker — but around Christmas in particular when I deploy a lot of extra smart plugs to control my over-the-top decorations it would definitely be limiting. This shape might be a deliberate attempt to avoid interference by preventing two of them being installed directly next to each other, or it might be an artifact of a single case design being used for multiple plug standards; the NEMA 5-15 plug (i.e. regular three-prong plug) is more compact than most others. Either way, it’s a limitation to be aware of if it’s going to cause you problems.Thanks to Matter, setup was much quicker and easier than I’ve seen with any other Wifi-connected smart home gadgets, and they’ve been entirely reliable with both Home Assistant and Apple Home.

Setup + Alexa Connection in less than 2 minutes
I ordered this set of four smart plugs to add home automation to a few free standing lamps in our house. Setting up the SONOFF smart plugs was simple:1. Plug the smart plug into an outlet2. Use a smartphone to scan the QR smartcode on the plug and open the link3. Select a device to control the plug (Alexa or Google Home)4. Follow the Alexa setup wizard.The plugs function as advertised and were detected and connected instantly during the setup process. The floor lamps we used on each of these outlets turned on/off using Alexa commands 100% of the time with no issues. The plugs are a good size and fit a standard home power outlet without blocking other neighboring outlets.The plugs feel very sturdy and seem to be made of a dense high quality plastic that won’t easily break. I own a few of these types of plugs from another manufacturer, and this SONOFF plug is of a higher quality, but comes at a higher price as well. The plus work great, recommended.

Great Matter-Enabled Smart Plugs!
I recently picked up this 4-pack of SONOFF Matter Smart Plugs and have been thoroughly impressed. If you are looking to future-proof your smart home, these are a fantastic choice.What I love:Seamless Integration: Thanks to Matter support, these work perfectly across different platforms. Awesome improvements
I have been a huge fan of Sonoff products for about 8 years. The upgrades with this model are excellent. Typically pairing a device can take some trial and error. This was the easiest setup I have ever done. When I plugged it in Samsung Smart things immediately popped up on my phone asking if I wanted to pair. I instead paired it with the Ewelink app and it was just as easy. I am currently using one for my service provider router and when I turn it off the device automatically switches to Bluetooth so I care turn it back on. The plug works very well and response time is better than older devices. It will not fit two in one outlet. If you want to be able to use both of the plugs on an outlet it needs to be at the top. Best smart plug I’ve used so far.
