Stoped working after 2 weeks…
No any response and data from power meter. The indicator just blinking. Tried to reset and unplug from power source… nothing helped. It just stupidly blinks and blinks…

Great for tracking KWh on a budget
I was looking for something that would accurately and cheaply track electrical use over time, preferably while graphing the use over time. This meter certainly met my needs. I was after something for quick temporary use for a few days to weeks at a time and the DIN rail mount pass-through style was just not practical. Sense is just way out of my budget nor do I trust the accuracy. Emporia Vue looked like a good runner up to this for double the price or more. Although this meter can track electric flow in both directions to track use versus generation, you can use it to just track usage if you wish. It was easy to set up and get it going, but it’s really bare bones with a pretty long wish list. For one, I wish it came with a plug on the cord. I think part of the reason for this is the KWh is calculated based on the input voltage. If you use it like I do and only monitor one pole of a 240V circuit, but plug/wire the device to a 120V circuit, you need to double the KWh reading. In this fashion it’s also critical to face the CT clamp in the correct direction or you get a negative reading in the app. They do put an arrow on the CT which is nice, but if you are monitoring a load on the opposite pole the device is powered from, you need to reverse the CT. It’s not a big deal, but a bit of a pain. The app does graph out KWh usage over time, but that’s it. You don’t get any other trends like voltage, current, PF, or count of power cycles like other meters do. You can get this data in the live view in the app, but that’s it. There is also no web version of the app as well as no export options in the mobile app. It would be nice to export the data for long term archiving or to manipulate the data with Excel, but there just isn’t a way. In the month that I’ve had it I’ve had no communication issues and has worked flawlessly. If you buy other Tuya devices, you can set up a lot of logic to execute actions on other devices with this mobile app, which is great. It does appear that you can set up the app to send alerts (within the app) to trigger based on a lot of factors, such as KWh usage, voltage, and amperage changes. In short, if you want a mildly basic WiFi KWh meter that works for about as cheap as possible, this is it. This is definitely better than other non-smart meters that are purely counters as the price is approximately the same.

No data, unable to connect to cloud.
Solar array data. Connects to software but doesn’t transmit data.

Installed it January 29 2025. No issue so far. As others mentioned, the application has to be always active on the tablet or phone for long term data to be accumulated. There is no storage of any power data in the device itself. I use it only for live data which gives instant power consumption in the form of Kilowatts and amperage every 15 seconds. Basic power monitor.
