Compact, Heavy-Duty Mic That Feels Pro Right Out of the Box
Right out of the box, this mic feels solid and well-built. It’s surprisingly heavy for its size, which honestly makes it feel premium and durable — definitely not cheap plastic. The compact design is perfect for smaller setups or desks, and the magnetic base keeps it stable while recording. From what I’ve seen and read, the sound quality is clear and crisp thanks to the studio-grade condenser capsule. It’s made to pick up natural-sounding vocals with very low background noise, which makes it great for podcasting, streaming, or recording music. The USB-C cable it comes with is a decent length — long enough to reach from a desk setup to your computer without stretching or needing an extension. It also connects instantly with no extra software needed, which is super convenient.I haven’t recorded with it yet, but just based on the build quality and RØDE’s reputation, this feels like a professional-level mic made to last.

Great Mic with Minor Cosmetic Issue
I picked up this Rhode mic for my webinar meetings and overall I’m really happy with it. The sound quality is exactly what I was looking for and it’s been working great for my needs. One thing I noticed when I first got it was that there were some white marks on the surface. I was a bit concerned at first thinking they might be scratches or permanent damage, but turns out they just wiped right off with a cloth. Not sure if it was from packaging or handling during shipping, but it wasn’t a big deal since they came off easily. The mic itself performs really well and feels solid. Setup was straightforward and I haven’t had any technical issues with it. The build quality seems good and it’s been reliable so far.Would definitely recommend this mic – just don’t worry if you see some white marks when you first unbox it. They’re probably just surface residue that cleans off no problem.

    Absolutely fantastic
The sound quality recorded by this mic is fantastic. It captures even the smallest of details from guitars, vocals, cajon, tambourine, eggs, oneshots, block flutes, classical flute, everything.Upon connecting to my laptop, it immediately updated the firmware and recognized the NT USB+.Ater starting my DAW, and setting up the device to be the NT USB+, everything worked perfectly. I couldn’t be more pleased. The mic comes with a very nice and long heavy duty USB C cable. The wind screen isn’t the greatest, but it’s sufficient and should hold up well. The desk stand, while a nice sentiment, is very light weight plastic. It would have been much better if they had made it with metal to give it more stability. I tried the desk stand just to see how it was, and then I connected it to a boom mic stand. If you use the stand, I recommend you do it carefully.Lastly, on the funny side of things, I must say I believe this is the first time I’ve ever gotten anything that actually had branded desiccant, lol. Way to go Rode! I love it.If you’re looking for a quality USB microphone, look no further. While it’s on the higher price point in comparison to its nearest competitor, I’ve no regrets with this purchase, and I’m extra proud of the fact it’s NOT MADE IN CHINA!AND, if that’s not enough good news about a great product, I almost forgot to mention how this microphone is plug and play not only with my laptop, but also with my OnePlus android phone and my Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus Android tablet. On all platforms, works perfectly.

Great product, app support a little simplistic.
As one would expect, it’s a Rode, so it’s a great microphone. Overall, I’d say it’s one of the best of the better USB mics. The supporting app isn’t terribly impressive, but it does give you some rudimentary filtering and sound enhancements. What’s funny is this is the best part about it, as primitive as the app is. As a plug-&-play, great sounding (if a little flat) travel and meeting mic, which filters keyboard, chair and pen noise – it’s perfect. If they upped the game of the app, it’d be 5-stars as it’d *almost* comparable to an NT1 without all the XLR complexity. It’d be a 5-star if it had a better app.

    usb-c powered.
I’m amazed by this thing. Also, Rode customer service is top notch. I haven’t had any Rode products until now, but I am now a fan and will be in the market soon and will keep in mind Rode, for sure!I can’t believe my phone can power this mic. Functionality is awesome, easy to use, plug and play. Cord length is perfect. Microphone quality is great.

    Very good quality (manufacturing wise)!!
I use this microphone with my android phone for recording and streaming/performance acoustic instruments (piano, cello, violin). Though I use it everyday, I am a casual user.Cons:- The app/program to update the firmware. On my phone, it just kept turning the microphone on and off and eventually just stayed off. Same thing happened when connected to my laptop. Kept turning the device on and off but it eventually updated. Not quite sure what was happening. I used the included USB cable. Updating the firmware fixed some obvious bugs (e.g. light turning on inappropriatly).- The stock volume is very low. Using the app/program helped with this issue by allowing you to adjust the gain.- There’s very few options for a case.-Since I use with my phone, I’d like a good phone and microphone mount but the microphone is so heafty…(which is a good thing).Pros:- The unit is very well built/solid; I have not seen such good manufacturing in a long time! Since it’s heafty, it does cause problems in portability since there isn’t a nice case.- It is exactly what it says it is. No surprises.- Both a pro and con is that there’s no adjustments except the monitor volume dial but that’s clearly stated so I knew what I was buying and it’s great for my simple plug/chug into phone use.

I was hesitant about it, read some recommendations and decided to buy it, and I am happy with my decision: it offers all the features of expensive devices but at a low cost, it is very light, the sound clarity is high, I can connect it directly to my phone or laptop, I learned to use it quickly and now I have a home studio .

Excellent quality microphone, though you might want to get an arm to attach it to, rather than the little tripod. The tripod is fine, but an arm is much more versatile. Picks up my voice beautifully and the included software does a decent job of filtering out extraneous sounds and keeping the volume consistent. And the plug is just a USB connection! None of that XLR nonsense.

Let me start by saying I upgraded to the Rode NT-USB+ from a Blue Yeti microphone.Easy to setup. Software is not my personal favourite but works.I personally use this for streaming and gaming – often chatting with friends in discord who have all said it sounds amazing and very professional. Great background noise cancelling and can be quite easily adjusted using software if needed.Uses a USB Type-C cable connection so can even be connected to many newer android phones, PCs, laptops, and other devices with this connection port.Has a headphone jack which can be hooked up for feedback. Aside from this, not really many physical dials on the hardware itself, but lots of features built in that can be adjusted using the software.Love the premium quality pop filter which comes with it. It works well and gives it that professional studio look. It also comes with a great stand that works well and sits at a nice angle but I have mine on a boom arm mount out of personal preference so I can move and adjust it’s positioning with easy. Easy to attach to boom arm, no problems there.Definitely worth the price – comparable to many more expensive microphones on the market. Good value for money in my opinion.
