Very nice for the price! Fast shipping
I bought a set of 3 of these woofers july 3rd, and it arrived july 7th. 4th of july weekend, that quick. From new york to wisconsin on free standard shipping. Boxes were a bit beat, but thats not rockvilles fault. Out of box, the woofers are shiney, stiff, and relatively solid, but Id be scared to drop it tho. In a free air test, it is shockingly loud and sounds pretty good concidering it was hooked up to a home amp system. Screw down terminals, stiff cone/stiff suspension, and very sensitive right out of box. After breaking it in, im sure it will sound phenominal. I am happy so far. Im anxious to see how these perform in 2 sealed boxes with 6 of them in my truck.

Wow
Suprised how great it fills in for a carvin br 118 4 ohm 800 watt continuous speaker that blew in an 18” bass guitar cabinet. Cheapest 18/4 ohm i could find – no complaints whatsoever 🙌🙌

Sound decent for price!!
Got these to replace 2 blown 18″ subs for a church, didn’t have high expectations but was actually impressed when I hooked em up and actually heard what they could do…been through a few services and we’ll see how they hold up!! Definitely recommend for the price if on a real tight budget!!!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
These are Pa style speakers not recommend for car installation. installed them in a ported enclosure and powering two separate amps at 4 ohms each. 100 hz and up to 500hz with clip meter to prevent distortion. was not impressed with the sound quality and stopped working within a month.

Sounds amazing
Had to replace a peavey black widow 18 inch sub after it busted. this one sounds amazing i have had it for about a month and it runs at a church, but we LOVE BASS at our church. we have 4x 18 inch subs and we will be using these to replace the other peveys as they bust.

Great sound!
Love these subs. Wall off my Firebird and built a 5 cubic foot floor to roof sealed enclosure for 2 Rockville RVP18W4 1200 Watt 18″ that are powered by a 20 year old Rockford Power 1100×2 amp. They sound great! Low, tight bass and hit very hard.

This was the second Rockville sub I purchased on Amazon, but the first DJ/PA speaker I ever installed. Its a pretty imposing driver, weighs as much as an entire bookshelf speaker, but it sure pumps the bass, even with very little input power. I used a 300W plate amp built into the cabinet I made with 3/4″ MDF (doubled up on front baffle), but I run it at barely 10% of the volume knobs travel, otherwise its just too loud. Could have used a 10W tube amp and it still would be more than enough. I am using it in the family workshop with a pair of Klipsch SB-2 bookshelves as the main satellite speakers. I covered the sides of the cabinet in black woodgrain vinyl, like Klipsch uses, and some metallic red for the front and back which nicely matches the Rockville logo. For the cheapest 18″ sub on Amazon, it sounds and looks great.Update – After just shy of 18 months of steady use, the RVP18W4 developed a nasty raspy sound that persists even when barely playing. I put a regular speaker terminal cup on the back, in case the amp failed. Tried another amp just to make sure it was the woofer that was the problem – it was. Will replace it with another Rockville 18 (RVW1800P4), with slightly bigger magnet (107 oz) and higher power handling. Hopefully that one lasts a few years. Other options are at least twice the price, if not more, so I am giving Rockville one more chance. Hopefully the replacement drops right in without any modifications. I will add a review of the RVW1800P4 when I am done.
