This is great for those hard-to-reach outlets! We are using these to turn on/off indoor Christmas lights. What a brilliant little product! Perfect for Christmas tree lights!
I LOVE this little thing! To turn on or off the Christmas tree lights in years past, I had to get on my hands and knees and move branches to locate the outlet. No more! With the simple click of a button, my tree lights go on or off, depending on which button I push! Where has this been my whole life? What amazing convenience! I’m already thinking of other ways it can simplify my life and I’m going to buy one for my mom, too. Brilliant little product!

Works great, but defaults to “OFF” after power failure
This generally works as described. But like most other RF remote outlet switches, the default is OFF after a power failure. Since I was using this to turn off/on my router when it needs a reset, this is not good when there is an actual power failure when I’m not home as I cannot turn it back on which means my home network will remain down until I return home. Particularly bad if I’m out of town. It does have good range and operates as described. Had I known it defaults to off after a power failure I wouldn’t have purchased it. However I’m not returning it as I think I can find another use for it. Amazon does sell at least one remote switch that “remembers” the prior state after a power failure which I purchased and will try out.

Great little gizmo!
I didn’t know these little things existed but I will not be without them ever again! As I age, I find some things a bit more difficult and have learned that remote controls are so very helpful. I was looking to buy a lamp with remote control but found this. It is much less cost than a new lamp and I did love my existing lamp. This little gizmo works, makes me smile instead of grimace with pain as I turn on the lamp. Buy some, they are great.

Such a simple device that helps my sister so much!I recently bought this remote control for my sister’s use. She has mobility issues and this control means one less challenge in her day.It is very modestly priced and oh-so-easy to install — even easier to use!

Still A Place In This World For “Dumb” Technology
I do like smart plugs and I certainly have my share of them inside and outside my home to control lights and fountains, but sometimes I want/need the simplicity of plug-n-play without connecting to WI-FI or installing yet another app on my phone. I am using this to power both an Aiyima mini amp and its DIY cooling stand that are on my desktop, so now they come on and go off in unison with the press of a single button. This allows me to leave the receiver’s volume where I like it and eliminates excessive wear and tear to the potentiometer. No phone app. No WI-FI. No talking to a dot device. Just old-school button pressing. This works exactly as expected and does not require line of sight to transmit the signal, and the compact size makes it easy to plug into a crowded surge protector. Good product and good value.
