Still usable without the app in case you wondered – purchased a 2nd one
Terrible manual. Given that, I would not really trust the app. I plan to use it strictly for securing the home while I’m asleep.Pros:The basic functionality does work. Not much else to brag about.Cons:The manual. Simply terrible. Not all of it is bad, but it’s poorly written. Think of it as a series of clues as to how things work.Base unit – battery – no indicator of low battery and no indication of charging when plugged in. Presumably it does not need to be plugged in all the time, otherwise why the battery? The manual says nothing about this. Maybe the battery is just for backup. Since a charger is supplied I’m going to assume it has to be plugged in all the time.Motion detector – you’ll think that you’re going to break it when trying to access the battery, but it can be opened. The shape is such that you’ll need to mount it. You can’t just set it on a shelf – which would make it more viable as a portable alarm.Notes:Don’t forget to turn the motion detector ON. The tiny black (recessed) slider switch in the rear that is pictured in the manual but not discussed anywhere.You might need to hold down the reset button on the motion detector until it resets. Once I turned mine on the first time, it just kept flashing rapidly – not the typical motion detected kind of flash. Once reset, it worked as expected and I was able to pair it.———November 2025Raising to 5-stars now that I’m “over” the terrible manual. I’ve been using the base unit with motion and door sensor to “lock down” the house when I retire for the evening. That’s worked perfectly and the extra remote that’s included is a nice bonus. My door frame isn’t ideal yet the door sensor has enough tolerance to work reliably with it. Now I just need to “remember” to disarm it after I wake up and leave my room!Last week I PURCHASED another complete system to use at another location along with several additional motion sensors.The motion detectors are still hard to open and so far everyone has had a loose circuit board inside. Looked closer tonight and there are mounting pins that the board will fit in. It does not “snap” in, but just placing the board on those pins seemed to secure it. So if you encounter the loose/floating board when opening one, know that it can be secured.The wall mounts for the motion sensor are designed nicely so that when you need to replace the battery, you can just lift it off the mount, deal with the impossible to open case, and then easily slide it back onto the mount.

Easy to install and use
When I first looked at the directions I thought it might be difficult to install but it wasn’t too hard. The scan code included in the paperwork didn’t work so I had to manually install the app but it was easy to do. Once I did that I was able to add my wifi. I’m a senior but I’m fairly knowledgeable of tech stuff so if I can do it, anyone can.The alarm is fairly loud. My house is less than 800 square feet so I was able to hear the alarm in every room. I also get the notification on my phone which I really like. It comes with 2 remotes that work good in the house but I have not tested them from a remote location yet. I plan on using this alarm by my back door and the installation instructions are simple. The instructions could be larger because the small print was difficult for me to read so I used a magnifying glass.I like that there’s no subscription that I have to be bothered with. Overall, I think this would be a good security alarm for anyone that’s worried about being alone. It’s easy to install and easy to use.,

This is such a peace of mind
Love this home alarm system. I use it for my door and my son’s window in his room. He is autistic and he has a problem trying to run out the house. I rent and can’t have a system installed, so this is absolutely perfect! It’s so simple to install too, I was able to do it myself and I’m am not good with stuff like this .I love that it works with Alexa also! That makes it so easy to use and work with! You don’t have to have a monthly subscription, BUT they do offer one, that’s not to badly priced and it comes with a lot of options and security features you don’t get without it. I’m thinking of purchasing it.The alarm if triggered is VERY LOUD. You can adjust the volume, but I keep my loud so my son doesn’t want to trigger it. He doesn’t like loud noises and that has actually worked, he doesn’t like it, and he now knows that will happen if he tries to open the door or window when he isn’t supposed to. I actually let him arm the alarm with Alexa, so he knows it is on. This truly is a great affordable alarm, and I’m very thankful for having it. It gives me such a peace of mind for my son, and for when I’m home alone.

Works as described
I have been testing this intermittently. It seems to operate as described. My primary interest in this was for use as an SOS button for Mom. The SOS button functions without any WiFi or programming, so that makes it just about as simple as it can get. We are not going to use it for Mom, though because the siren itself is very distressing and we don’t need to add that to the stress from a fall. I really just want to be notified if she needs help.This system does seem to offer everything you need to monitor your home’s security yourself, including compatibility with video surveillance, so we are going to set it up at our cabin. 👍
