Keeps Your Home Secure!
My favorite thing about this is the timer! I love knowing if I forgot to turn off the lights downstairs, they’ll go off anyways.It gives me a greater sense of peace of mind and safety to also be able to randomly control my lights when I’m out of town.With it hooked up to my Alexa, I can easily turn on a room or the whole downstairs any time, so it looks like someone is home. I’m able to set up separate timers for each light, or an entire group. I love having that flexibility!Setting it up with Alexa was a snap. It’s like any light bulb, so you don’t have to “install” anything. I didn’t notice any issues with flickering.I also enjoy being able to change the brightness and white balance. It’s really nice in the evening to have soft more amber lighting. It helps get me ready for bed and feel relaxed.I haven’t used the music feature, but I did play around with the colors. It was fun. It’s just not my thing, but I didn’t have an issue with it. It would be great mood lighting for a party or holiday.It’s a wee bit pricey for one bulb, but these are expected to cost more than a regular bulb. Though they’re becoming ubiquitous enough that I hope to seeprices continue to drop.All in all, this is a smart purchase, especially if you’re looking to customize how bright and soft your lighting is, or a frequent traveler.

Functional and fun!
I picked this up after striking out with another smart bulb that never worked, so I was already a little skeptical going in. This one, though, actually worked right away, which was a relief.Setup was easy. The app connected without any drama, and once it was in, controlling it felt straightforward. I didn’t have to fight with it just to turn the light on and off, which was my biggest concern after the last one.What I didn’t expect was how fun it would be. There are so many colors and combinations that I ended up messing around with it way longer than planned, switching moods and lighting just because I could. It’s one of those things that turns into a small distraction in a good way.After dealing with a smart bulb that never cooperated, this felt like a win. It works, it’s easy to control, and it adds a little personality to the room. I’ve liked it enough that I’d buy another one without hesitation.

Good light with phone as remote.
Decent bulb let down a bit by it’s lack of integration when offline.This uses the Briturn app, which is on it’s own alright.However, It doesn’t seem to interoperate with anything like Tuya (feelings one way or another on them, so much works with it), or Home Assistant (meaning it’s not open spec) I’ve spent way too long trying to figure that out and so far no dice.It’s a little less bright when set to 100% It was 1984 lux, vs 2470 for a Govee H6008 and 2317 for a A5T (Tuya-type) bulb, as per my light meter. All in the same mounting type, measured the same way, and all are rated at 9W.It does work without an internet connection, which is good, but *only* from the app, which is less good. It does not seem to work with assistants if it’s isolated from the internet which is how I prefer it for security (some do some don’t), there’s no local control other than the app that I have been able to find.Overall, I’m going to give this 4 stars as a good rgb light with a phone remote control app, but not necessarily as part of a in interconnected smart home. I will update if this changes, and I hope it does.

My favorite light bulb
I love this more than I should. Its just a light bulb…It works with my friend Alexa – my oldest loves to control our smart lights and she names them all silly things so it sounds fun when she tells alexa to turn it on. The color can be controlled through my app or echo, it connected really easily and works either as a reading light, a parry light or just to keep the room purple for no reason at all.Great price too. Smart bulbs can get expensive and this one is a little more money friendly. Highly recommend this one.

Works great
It took me a minute to find the correct app to get this light set up. You want the Briturn app. Once I found that, set up was pretty straight-forward and simple. From there, I connected it to Alexa, and it works perfectly through there. I totally recommend – the colors are vibrant, which I love. I love setting mood lighting at my office, and this works perfectly. I totally recommend – it’s a great budget option that works as it should!

Not Mighty Bright
It turns on and the app does a lot of cool stuff with the colors but the one thing I couldn’t get over was how dim it was. It says it’s 40 watts, which of course I only read after I received it but when I tell you this bulb is dark I mean it’s dark. I’d hoped to have a variety of bright colors to work with. With the app you can make the regular lightbulb color seemingly bright so if you want to use it as a normal light, as long as you don’t mind all of your other colors to look dim and dark of course it should be totally find. Installation was the same as installing any normal light. It wasn’t hard to connect to the app but I can’t speak to lifespan seeing that I’ve already removed it. I’d say the quality isn’t that great when you could find lighter/brighter lights with double the watts for less so I don’t know if it’s a great value per cost.
