Perfect solution to my limited desk space
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer).* These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don’t meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly.Why I ordered this item: I have three monitors and a small desk. The third one was kind of hanging off of the desk and I wanted to mount it in portrait mode anyway. This arm helped me do exactly that.Likes:* Installation was fine. It was a little time consuming, but the instructions are excellent which is always a welcome surprise. I think the setup probably took me 15 minutes from start to finish.* The arm consists of two pieces, a base that screws into the U mounting plate (which is what I used instead of the drill-through method with bolt and plate) and a VESA plate that mounts to your monitor and then hangs and screws onto a plate at the end of the arm. All tools are included, and all pieces feel heavy duty and sturdy.* Adjusting via the spring tension adjustment controls is easy and requires a hex wrench which is included.* Once mounted, there is no play in the arm at all other than the adjustable parts.* The cable management channel in the arm is awesome and keeps things super clean.No likes:* It’s weird that the USB-C port is USB A on the other end. I expected to be able to plug it into the USB-C port on my motherboard, but I only have one USB A port available so now I have to find a hub.* The placement of the USB ports is kind of weird, because they are on the base which is at the front of the desk mount. That mount is at the back of my desk, so the ports are not super accessible.Would I pay full price for this product: Yes, other than the USB ports this is exactly what I was hoping it would be.Final thoughts: None of these cons are super negative so I didn’t deduct any stars. I didn’t get this for the USB ports, and the arm is awesome. Very happy with this order.

Sturdy and Smooth Monitor Arm, Saves Desk Space

When I rate highly, it’s because it genuinely performed well for me or serves its intended purpose. Products that fail to meet reasonable expectations will be evaluated accordingly. On to my review:I really like this monitor arm. We are retiring and needed another desk set up at home, and I really wanted one that was easy on these arthritic hands to adjust on a whim. This one does exactly that. The assembly process was simple and if you need them it does include clear instructions & all necessary tools, although I prefer using my own. I am a fan of the top-side C-clamp installation, so I didn’t have to crawl under the desk.The aluminum construction is solid and the arm feels sturdy. The movement is incredibly smooth. Adjusting the monitor’s height, tilt, & rotation requires minimal effort. It’s holding my 32-inch monitor securely without sagging or drift. I didn’t pay attention but was surprised by the integrated cable management – tucking all the cords neatly inside the arm is a clean, professional look, and I use the built-in USB to keep my device charged. Note that the cable ends in a USB-A connector for your computer, not USB-C, so that’s a little behind times.At the time of this review, this was listed at $119.99, on sale for $99.99. Comparing builds and quality like this, I think this one is an excellent value, and I’m glad to have it.I hope this review has been helpful to you.

Good Features
This is a fairly nice articulating monitor arm and has some thoughtful features.The Good:- Supports larger widescreen monitors (up to 26 pounds)- Can be rotation locked to avoid the arm from hitting the wall for desks placed against a wall- Unique clamp mechanism does not require going under or behind the desk to tighten (also a con, see below)- Grommet mounting only requires a small hole in desk, not a ~2″ hole like most- Bracket for VESA mount is better designed than most- Easy to dial in the tension, but needs a tool to do it- Not a very bulky design, which is appreciated- Okay cable managementThe Not So Good:- If you want to move the location of the desk clamp, you must remove the arm from the clamp to get at the tightening screw. Most other mounts, you can move the clamp by twisting the knob under the desk and slide the mount to the new location and tighten the knob again. This is not something you’d do often, but sometimes necessary to dial in the fit or adjust when rearranging desk setup.- Some monitors with recessed VESA mounts may have trouble fitting the mounting plate- though to be fair, there’s probably few monitor arms that would work with monitors like that. In this case, it’s best to use standoff spacers (not included).MonTek also has a similar mount with higher weight capacity for about $25 less- primary difference being (from what I can tell) is the type of swivel used at the point where the monitor and arm meet. This one having a better mechanism.

Works great for my monitor!
I just got a pc setup and wanted something to hold up my monitor while taking minimal space on my desk that’s also adjustable, and this checked all the boxes! it was pretty easy to put together and just attached to the edge of my desk. i don’t have a worry that it’s not gonna hold up at all and is pretty sturdy.
