Great premium certified HDMI that works well with HDCP 2.2 & 4K
For the past year I have settled with playing all my games on PS4 Pro in YUV420 only, due to handshake issue’s while playing games in 4K. I simply thought it was a limitation with my Yamaha receiver. After a year of that I started having issue’s with my Xbox One S as well. I replaced all my HDMI cables with some good looking, nylon braided, 18Gbps rated cables, and the issue was lessened, but still occurred a few times an hour. After some research I discovered the Premium Certified HDMI cable program, and thought I would give these Monoprice Certified Premium HDMI cables a try as a last resort. Guess what? HDMI handshake issue’s have ceased entirely. I’ve played various games on both consoles for the last few days without any issue’s, and I’m running video mode in auto on PS4 Pro which will use both YUV420 and RGB420, as is necessary. It feels nice to be able to run 4K content as it was intended without any signal loss. These cables are quite thick and not very flexible compared to the ones I previously tried. They don’t seem high quality at all, but they work! So despite how much harder it was to run the cables from the receiver to each device, at least everything is working as intended. I will only buy Premium Certified HDMI cables from now on. Lesson learned. Save yourself a headache and simply buy these. Looks aren’t everything, function is what matters.

Great price for quality products.
Not much to say about a technology that really isn’t visible to the untrained eye. Maybe just marketing. I can’t see 8K. I can hear in 8K and MOST PEOPLE CAN’T see in 8k.

Do NOT believe the snake oil videophile claims.
Here’s the simple truth: There are only two main types of HDMI cables out there:1. Standard speed for 720p/1080i2. High speed for 1080p and the way to 2160p HDR and 4K60p SDR @ 4:4:4That’s it. There are no 1.3, 1.4, 2.0, 2.0a not 2.0b cables. The HDMI version is on board your compatible device. The cables never changed except from standard to high speed. They are also sold with and without Ethernet. The truth is Ethernet has little to no real application on home theater devices. You can have your TV or Xbox/PS wired to your router but Ethernet sharing has never really been implemented. So what really matters with cables? As long as you don’t require long cable lengths over 20 feet, even 2008/2009 era HDMI cables that worked with 1080p equipment will work with your new Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG gear. Longer distances require expensive active cables which companies like Monoprice also offer. Also if you need an in wall installation you would want a cable rated for walls. What are you getting when you spend more for cables? Jewelry for your high-end A/V gear. Beautiful looking braided cable with very shiny 24kt gold plated connectors. That’s it. If you have a $10,000-50000 setup then go ahead and buy the pretty $100 and up HDMI cables. For everyone else do not bother with anything other than generic, albeit high quality cables under $10 like what Monoprice and companies like Blue Jeans Cable/Tartan offer. You will only be wasting your money. If you want to get better picture or sound, spend the money on a reference quality 4K Oppo Blu-ray player and a pair of great speakers. Expensive digital cables are for the gullible.

This cable works great! I don’t see the negative fuss about this.
First off if you just want a quick summary: The cable works fine at 4K HDR 60FPS. Make sure both devices are off before plugging it in otherwise the cable won’t work properly. Also use a cable thats under 15ft.Now let’s start the in-depth review (Keep note that I used 2 of these cables, 6ft each)The cable isn’t really too bendable but that’s understandable for a well built premium cable. I had no issues getting this cable to work, just keep in mind to turn off both devices before plugging it in. Once I turned on my 4K player, my receiver and my Samsung TV, I saw an imagine on my tv. No flickering, No green/purple/red/gray pixels anywhere.. I loaded some 4k hdr 60fps yt videos up and the cable handled it just fine.If somehow you had any troubles with this cable I recommend these other cables:Kables ultra high speed hdmi 2.0 cableNintendo OEM hdmi cable (Yes I’m dead serious)

As Good As More Expensive Cables
I bought some more expensive HDMI cables from a brick and mortar, and then saw the reviews on these Monoprice cables and for the price, decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! These are as good as the very expensive cables I bought. I was able to do comparisons on the 3 TVs I connected – all new – ranging from Full HD Fire TV to a 43 “- 4k. In all 3 TVs, I couldn’t tell the difference in picture quality and clarity between the expensive 4k cables and the Monoprice. Needless to say, I kept the Monoprice and returned the others. Monoprice is excellent quality for a very good price.

Mostly you ll get 4k 60 hz when u connect this cable directly. if not dont panic.. Go to Nvidia properties and click customize resolution. Set frame rate as 60 Hz and Progressive type as Interlaced. if your monitor supports u ll get the successful notificatin. some times after successful notification 60 hz ll not be set. for that restart the system and have the patience.

Very good cable. Works perfectly to carry high throughput 4K HDR. It’s a bit too thick and hard to bend through.
