It looks, feels, and operates like meters costing much more.
Although I have no way of testing the accuracy of this watt meter it functions as intended. The screen is easy to read with the backlight lit and I like the way the back light comes on when checking the readings and goes out automatically. The plug on the back is placed correctly so it only takes up the space in one socket on a two or four gang outlets. I find it much easier to use with a short pigtail extension so the screen can be read in tight places where the viewing angle needs to be adjusted without unplugging it. It’s a great value for the price I paid.

Packed With Features At A Great Price
So much to like! Replaces a benchload of equipment for the price of a good dinner out.Accurate and good response time.Easy to select pairs of measurements displayed, at the push of a button: kWh & cost, Watts & Volt-Amperes, Volts & Amperes, Line Frequency & Power Factor, and Minimum & Maximum Watts.Easy to set: cost per kWh, overload threshold alarm (# watts exceeded), kWh-alarm threshold exceeded, and cost-alarm threshold exceeded.Backlight timeout is easily set and can be set to never timeout. Very handy and doubles as a night-light.CONS: 1) I would prefer Volts & Line Frequency be displayed together as voltage-sag and reduced line frequency can indicate an impending brownout condition due to excessive demand from the Grid. Presently displays Power Factor & Line Frequency which really have no meaningful relationship to each other.2) Cannot select which measurements are paired.3) Minimum watts measurement can snag an arbitrary low reading as a load (such as a coffeemaker) is switching off and the the reading is ramping down. Mine is currently showing 0.1 watts even though the minimum measureable load is 2 watts. This behavior renders the Minimum Watts value meaningless. No issues with the Maximum Watts. Apart from these minor snags the unit is really quite good and very useful, and you can’t beat the price for all that it does.User Manual is well-written and easy to follow.Note: one reviewer says the elapsed time is limted to 24 hours. Not so (read the manual). The limit is 9999 days. Another reviewer says the kWh cost doesn’t have enough digits for the price she pays per kWh. To get around this, enter 1/10 the per-kWh cost and then multiply the total by 10 when you want the actual cost figureA SOLID FIVE STARS for this unit. I will definitely be buying more to track other electrical loads on the property.

Nice, Inexpensive and works.
The only reason I bought this was:I have a large 19 Killowatt Generator for the house. While doing maintenance / repairs I needed to monitor the frequency of the 120 and 240 V outputs. Cheaper than a frequency meter and a nice quick way to make sure 120v is actually 60 Hertz. I also went around the house checking out how much electricity all of my goodies were using. Nice inexpensive tool.

I have 4 different brands of power meters and this was one of the beet ones. easy to rear but the document was hart to understand but load the data into a spread sheet to graph. I us it on cirkets that i monitor for 30 days or more

Actually works
This one works as advertised, very simple buttons and it is backlit!I returned two other similar products that did not live up to their hype.Just buy a little extention cord to help place it so you can read it easier.
