My vacuum helper
I have been wanting an automatic vacuum for quite some time but was hesitant that it would actually clean good. I still have to learn how to use this and see if I can set boundaries with this model but straight out of the box and not even fully charged for my first use (I would recommend charging it the full 3 hrs. as suggested, I accidentally started it and let it go!) it did great. The photos are from running two days in a row and as you can see the dirt bin is full so it is definitely cleaning. I’m hoping I can program it better because right now it seems to be all over the place and it doesn’t fully get one area before moving on to the next and it misses some trash/dirt since it is sporadic. I will update on that after I’ve learned how to use it! I’m happy with this purchase as of now. If you don’t want to clean the bin every day or two I would recommend getting the self emptying model. I just wanted to try the basic vacuum for now and see if it was worth it. I am a professional cleaner and so I have high expectations and so far this has met my needs. It has some “sweeper legs” that get in corners or edges like under counters and sometimes it does miss stuff but I know it is working as I have to empty the dirt bin frequently. It’s making my life a little easier! We named ours Dusty! It is not too loud but if your on a phone call it’s best to go to another room as it can be a little distracting. I set mine to go off at 12 pm every day and like clock work Dusty comes out and goes to work! The app was super easy to set up and like I said I am still learning and hope to set up specifics if I can with this model. The only issue I have had so far is that it will get stuck on a couple of my rugs. They are thick rugs so one it just stops and the alarm goes off for an error that it could not move. The other rug it says it is near a cliff lol! It isn’t that high of a rug but it is higher than the hard wood floors I have. I just move it and press start. It is a little aggravating but nothing too bad. I’m home all the time so I can move it but if I wasn’t I’m not sure if I could do anything from the app (again, still learning!)Also, make sure cords are picked up and if you have any sticky bug traps I’d move them because the little sweeper legs have gotten stuck to mine and I had to pull it off.Other than those two things I am loving my automatic vacuum and I recommend it his product. If I remember I will update my review after I’ve had it for a while longer!

Great help for quick cleans, but beware of cords
Overall, I’m very happy with the iRobot Roomba 104. It has become an important part of my weekly cleaning routine, acting as the perfect in between cleaner to maintain the house between our monthly professional, deep cleans. For our household, it is worth the money.Vacuuming and Mopping performance. The Roomba 104 performs well on our hardwood floors. For vacuuming, it easily handles the day-to-day crumbs from a busy kitchen – we both cook a lot and I’m messy. I was also impressed with its ability to pick up long hair without issue. A helpful tip, I found it cleans more effectively under the dining room table if I pull the chairs out and place them on the table. As for the mopping feature, it also did a great job on our hardwoods, leaving them looking clean. It’s an excellent for a light, maintenance level mop. I haven’t yet tested it on any significant spills, but for a general weekly clean, it does the job. The only significant frustration has been with Cleaning under our bed. Despite efforts to tuck power cords against the wall, the Roomba repeatedly got tangled, forcing me to use the app to make it skip cleaning the bedroom.App control and Mapping. The smart mapping feature worked well overall, creating a functional layout of our home. However, it wasn’t perfect on the first try. It misinterpreted our stairways as small, separate rooms that needed to be deleted. Our main floor is a very open concept ( kitchen, dining room, living room room) and I had found that I’ll need to spend a little more time in the app learning how to divide that large space into smaller custom cleaning zones. Day-to-day operation is simple, I know there’s a lot more to learn in the app.Ease of use and time savingsThis is where the Roomba 104 truly shines. The basic operation is incredibly simple. It’s saved me the time of manually cleaning; it has given us a cleaner house because I’m using it to clean more often than I would do on my own.Noise level, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the unit is when an operation. The noise level is low and not at all disruptive. We even had friends over while I was finishing a cycle and they commented on how it was so much quieter than the robot vacuum they own from another brand. The only loud moment is when the Roomba docks back at the base station which then sucks out the debris.Overall, the Roomba 104 has filled the gap between deep cleans, keeping our home cleaner with little effort.

Mediocre battery life and app but solid product
I’ll make this simple to read and break it down into pros and cons:Cons:Poor battery life, especially on deep cleanCumbersome app doesn’t let you see things like battery chargeStill gets stuck on minor items like cords and small objectsMop feature is lower endDeep clean can get loudProsExcellent suction, especially on deep cleanFinds home much better and faster than past iterationsMopping feature is basic but does a decent jobSuperb mapping allows the vacuum to know what room it is inPrice point feels very fair, a bargain when on saleMuch kinder to furniture and delicate objects than previous modelsStandard clean and mopping are quietThis is a solid buy, but if you find it on sale it is a no brainer.

Wanted to share my excitement about the Roomba 104 with you. After switching from my previous i series robot, I have been thoroughly impressed with the Roomba 104’s performance. The cleaning capabilities are significantly better, and the LiDAR navigation is simply stellar. For an entry-level robot, it is definitely worth every penny. One of the standout features is the improved suction power, which makes a noticeable difference in the cleanliness of my home. Additionally, the noise levels seem to be lower, making it less intrusive during its operation. The mopping function is fantastic, especially since I have carpets. The Roomba 104 smartly navigates around the carpets without getting confused or stuck.Another great aspect is the flexibility with cleaning solutions – you can use any solution you prefer, except for vinegar and bleach. The size of the empty base is also worth mentioning as it is small and discrete, fitting seamlessly into my home. The app is quite user-friendly, allowing you to customize the map and create no-go zones, which is a fantastic feature for an entry-level robot. Overall, I believe the Roomba 104 is an excellent choice for anyone with a small house or apartment.

We have had 600 series vacuums before. They work great for pet hair. We tried an e6 and had to get rid of it as it does not do as good of a job a 600 series does. That being said, this is our first “new” one. We purchased a warehouse deal under the assumption that it was an unused scratch and dent model. Once I added it to my app it informed me that the roomba had done 26 jobs! No not an unused model, one that someone didn’t like for some reason 🤔. So far nothing seems amiss with it so just assuming the previous Amazon customer just didn’t like it and returned it? These 600 series are like little tanks and don’t get clogged with dog hair like the e6 did. I look forward to using one that is pretty much brand new.

App still works, mapping is great. This one is the quietest, and the self-emptying means we don’t need to tend to it nearly as much as our other Roombas

Good for daily use. Little noise. Need preparing the floor for it. Can move on carpets
