Tracks Energy Consumption for my EV Charger Well
This was exactly what I was looking for to track how much energy my electric car charger was consuming. It is high quality, easy to use, and its features provide it with excellent functionality. My only critique is that it is a bit difficult to read (the screen is dim).

This energy monitor proved to be useful. I had some questions about the electric items in my home, particularly regarding their functionality, such as the cold pipe heater. Initially, I set it up where my desktop is located, connecting a multi-socket outlet in series with the monitor plugged into the wall outlet. After four days, it indicated that it had used 5.4 kWh. I then tested it on a frozen pipe heater cable to determine if it was operational. After a week, my suspicion was confirmed as it showed no energy usage. Next, I used it on a space heater that I typically place under tarps near my outdoor pipes, and after two weeks, the monitor functioned correctly. It is a practical tool for tracking energy consumption and identifying which electrical items are consuming more energy and which are not functioning. However, the screen could benefit from improved illumination. The blue background makes it somewhat difficult to read, and a smaller scale for tracking fractional usage, especially less than tenths, would be advantageous. It’s important to remember that only one socket is being utilized at a time.

Excellent tool for measuring electrical power used by an appliance. In this video, you’ll see me test a toaster oven and see it is pulling 1380 watts when heating, and 20 watts when the oven light is on — spot on.I’ll be installing this in my camper to analyze how efficient my shore charging system is, comparing watt-hours consumed vs battery charge state.
