Wow! From the time I handled the package I knew I was dealing with a high end product which I didn’t really expect for the price (Think Iphone Packaging). I was a little leary about the purchase because I wasn’t sure about the 2.4 Ghz thing so I chatted with Verizon who said it was “absolutely compatible” with their routers. I figured I would have to jump through some hoops dealing with that but in the set up it never came up. The gateway connected instantly to my internet and then paired with the sensors and my phone flawlessly. (note the pairing button is under battery cover). Mine did not need to be calibrated as temperatures matched my fancy mercury thermometer. As a kid in the 80’s I used to have graph paper on the refrigerator where I would plot the days high and low temps for the whole year. A little nerdy but my dad was a physics teacher and it got me interested in science in math. Fast forward and today’s kids have this easy but it is still a great educational tool. You learn to interpret graphs, analyze data, and discover the patterns that exist in nature between temperature, dew point, and humidity. This would make a great gift for someone to develop a science fair project with. Data can be exported to excel so your kiddo can learn all kind of computer skills. They could even investigate how VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) effects plant growth. This is my first purchase from GOVEE and will definitely be looking at there other Smart Home gadgets like lighting. Oh, and this is the only positive review I have ever been compelled to do on Amazon and I was not compensated for this review.

Setup for this device was very easy, but requires a dual-band WiFi with 2.4 GHz. I purchased two six-packs and one three-pack. One of the individual sensors has a flaw that requires frequent battery replacement.

Good for large house (3200sqft)
I have these deployed as follows 1 in my garage one in attic and one in my son’s room to measure the temps during summer. They are pretty accurate and measure both temp and humidity. The Bluetooth connectivity range is also good as I have the sensors deployed in a spread out manner but they all connect to the base and report without issues.As for the quality goes it seems to be built well and does it’s thing well.

I’m really, really happy with these sensors, so far — easy to recommend them: The data and app are excellent (I love that you get not only the relative humidity but also dewpoint), setup was pretty easy and painless, and the signal of the sensor/transmitters has been strong enough to meet my needs.I deployed all three sensors about a week ago to three rooms in three pretty-far-apart locations in my multi-story house where I’d had ongoing concerns about humidity. Two are in bedrooms on the same floor as my bluetooth-wifi gateway, one about 12 feet away and a second about 25 feet away. The third is nearly directly below, one story below beneath a stainless steel sink and adjacent to a dishwasher in a kitchen cabinet. Bluetooth connectivity/strength has been perfect — no problems whatsoever.I can’t say how long battery life will be or whether the sensors will remain reliable (I’ve only had them a week) but I’ve never had more accurate humidity and temperature readings before. If these last a while, I feel the value for the money is absolutely outstanding.
