Everything about It is Convenient
I really like that I’m able to use this product right out of the box. I connected my desk fan into the voice control side and now I can easily set timers for it to turn on and off. Learning to use it was easy as well. The old outlet extender I had also had a timer, but it got annoying having to reach behind furniture to grab it and reset timers. Now I can change timers with just my voice removing the hassle. It’s great. The other side of the plug that always stays activated is convenient so I don’t have to monitor it and worry about what timer I set for which outlet. I love the 4-in-1 design. I can plug my two appliances into the outlets and charge my phone and headphones with the USB ports. I don’t have to set up anything, connect to anything, or download any apps. Love that it works great as soon as it’s plugged in.

Good Product
Great for Keeping Things SimpleI use this mainly for lights that I don’t want left on all night. Being able to set a sleep timer has been really convenient, especially in the evenings. I also like that it works with local voice control, so there are no accounts or setup hassles, which makes it easy for everyone in the house to use. It’s a small change, but it’s been practical day to day.

Convenient
This product is really convenient to setup and you just plug in and start to use it. My grandson play with it by plug in few different devices like table lamp, humidifier, heater, phone chargers, all working great and he loves it. Just plug in and say “Hey Emerson” to control everything. The manual say it supports different plugs in the same room as well. Great products since you don’t need to setup with an app. I probably will get few more so I can set it up in different rooms.

Very happy with this smart outlet
It’s so cool! We have a little lamp which has no switch, we need to plug every time when we use it. It’s so pity because we love the lamp so much but very inconvenient to use it. Until we found Emerson and we can use smart voice function to control the lamp on and off, that’s much easier for us, even from a little bit longer distance.:-) and other plugs supply more useful options. We are so glad our little lamp has the new fresh life now!

Emerson works, but he is stubborn
The good things about this are that it works right out of the box. There’s no set-up, no wifi, no pairing to deal with. I got this for my senior mom with some mobility issues who isn’t great with technology and it’d also be appealing for those with privacy concerns. Basically, you just plug it in and it has one voice activated input and 2 others that are not. You can plug in a few different things at once, but only control 1 thing, whatever is plugged into the voice activated one. It fits easily in the outlet, and that’s the entire setup. It’s also nice that this can control a wide variety of appliances. So what are the drawbacks? Well, it needs to be fairly close or you need to be loud for it to hear you. I’d say 6ft unless I was yelling at it. It also has set commands, so there’s no Emerson, will you turn on the lamp. It’s Hey Emerson, turn off the light- at least that’s the one it seemed to register the easiest. It also responds sometimes to ‘Hey Emerson, turn off’. If you are used to the big AI assistants/smart home setup, Emerson is very rigid in what commands he will respond to and not listening from a million miles away. Emerson is kind of stubborn! He responds about 50% of the time because you are either not close enough, not loud enough or just not saying what he wants you to say how he wants you to say it. If you wanted this to control a bedside lamp or something close proximity, I think it’d be pretty good. I had already set up my mom with an assistant in her bedroom, which has helped her immensely, so she is used to the more freewheeling kind of talk A will respond to, but I thought Emerson could control some other lights in other rooms as I didn’t want to smart home everything. The problem with that is that she talks to him like he’s Alexa and he is far more rigid in what he will respond to and only works when you are closer to him. I’d say this is a good gift for a senior or someone with problems bending/reaching/walking, but not one who already is used to another AI assistant, as Emerson is not that. He will shut off the light, if you ask him loudly, in the right order, and clearly… and he’s in the mood! He’s also right for the privacy concerned person in your life or the one who just isn’t interested in having a connected smart home or smart appliance control set-up.

Easy, convenient, and suitable for all types of charges
Comes with instructions for how to use it. No need to set up. Just follow the instructions and say the lines. I like it has type c and usb outlets both with two other charging outlets that this little one thing can go with you wherever you go and meet all your charging needs. And you can just say the words to turn on or off the lights or other things without getting out of the bed.
