No, it doesn’t need AAA batteries. It MUST plug in to work with adapter(included.) Because LED lights need much power to work. If you use battery, it needs to replace very often. However, there’s a CR2032 battery inside for setting memory.

This is a great alarm clock for my son to teach him about military time and compare Celsius to Fahrenheit. It shows the day of the week and the date so he always knows this. It also has cool tones to wake up to. We don’t have the heat turned up in the house unless we get a storm so it’s fun to see what temperature it is inside vs outside. I enjoy the different colors and it has a nice dim feature allowing you to adjust the brightness to the perfect setting. The biggest perk for me is the larger display which is easy to read from across without my glasses.

Great clock for the money
Display size is nice and big so I can see it from across the room without my glasses.Brightness has 6 levels of adjustment so it doesn’t have to light up a room.Alarm has 5 levels so it doesn’t have to wake the neighbors.Buttons are clearly labeled on the back making it easy to use.Good quality build.

We LOVE Our New Bedroom Clock!
It arrived yesterday and I immediately carried it to our bedroom. It was very easy to set up to our Mountain Time, daytime brightness for the room, etc. Last night it was equally easy to adjust the brightness down to perfection! Being retirees, we appreciate all the information just a glance away! YES, we definitely recommend this wonderful alarm clock!

Great little alarm clock ~ Easy to read with extra functions, USB charger, very good value !
I generally love the over-all value of this alarm clock! The brightness levels can easily be adjusted, the display size is just right – not too small (can be read without putting on your readers if you are over 45 years of age) nor too big. It is solidly made of good quality. The alarm is more than loud enough to wake me up. I love that I can have a small USB cord attached to the ports on the back to charge my cell phone. My only complaint is I need to put on my reading glasses and have very good light to see the buttons on the back which have slightly raised descriptions but are the same color (black) as the plastic they are made of. Takes a little bit of figuring to learn how to set/adjust things. Once that is done, all is good.

An excellent clock
This is an excellent clock in many respects. It’s good for a full-time bedside clock and great for travelling (especially with the internal settings backup battery which keeps the time and alarms while not plugged in). It can plug in to any USB-A charger and it comes with its own charge block. There are two USB-A sockets on the back to charge or power a phone and/or another device. It has a super clear screen, and it keeps accurate time. I like that it has an easy to set screen brightness control with 6 levelsI am glad I chose this clock, and I recommend it.

So easy to set up and easy to read.
I’m very please with my new alarm clock. I’m not real “savvy” when trying to set up electronic things, but this was super easy. I wanted the day of the week to show and the temperature, and it does both. It’s small enough to fit on my night stand but large enough to read from bed. I LOVE that it has a lifetime warranty, and here again, it was so simple to register it using my Amazon order number. Looks like it’s going to be a quality product and I am a happy consumer.

Nice clock but…..
I received this clock two days ago. I bought it for my bathroom. First, the size is great. I have an electrical plug in my bathroom that has 3 plugs and 2 charging outlets. You can not just plug this into a charging outlet. You have to use the enclosed plug which is large enough that it makes difficult if not impossible to use the electrical plug next to it so I’m losing a plug. Then, I started to set it. The instructions were clear but the buttons are on the back and the lettering/numbers on the buttons are raised but are black like the buttons and difficult to read. I set the time although I had to run through 12 hours to get the clock to pm. Then, I set the date with no problem. The instructions said that the week day would automatically adjust when the date was set. It didn’t. It is Wednesday and the clock reads “Sunday”. This is unfortunate because that is one of the main reasons I bought the clock. I’m retired and sometimes, I need to see what day it is. It isn’t really worth my time to send it back – returning items on Amazon is not particularly convenient – so, maybe I’ll find somewhere else to use it although, anywhere I put it means I will lose 2 plugs. However, other people had no problems.Update: I took this clock to another room where I didn’t need the date displayed as much but I couldn’t get it to set anything. So, I’m trashing it. To their credit, the makers did reach out to me to resolve the problem, but, frankly, it’s not worth my time to deal with that.
