Works great-when you know how to reset it
Updating my previous review and changing to five stars: apparently it needed a “reboot”. Per the seller, press and hold the reset button (aka green light that I didn’t even know was a button!) until it blinks, turn the light off at the switch (or on, if it is off) and it works again. It may have gotten reset during a power outage. Looking forward to being able to use the rest of the outlets for Christmas lights this year.Bought it to replace one that we lost the remote for. Worked great for about 3 weeks and suddenly stopped working. The light is on, but we have to turn the light on and off by the switch again, so that was a waste of money. We were only using it on one light, but had planned to use it for Christmas lights when the season came.

Good, but …
I had a similar setup of a different brand for overhead lights, but one remote died and couldn’t be replaced, so I had to install a new system. This one is solid and works very well once installed. I appreciate the small size of the plug-in outlets, less than half of what I had before, allowing two of them to be installed in the same outlet. But this product has two negatives. The remote’s battery cover, which must be removed to pull out a strip of tape before the unit will work, is a BEAR to get off. Even with a screwdriver, it took me a good 5 minutes and I feared breaking it. Second, the buttons on my old remote were a contrasting color, easy to see in dim light. These buttons match the case so are invisible. I’ll try to color them with a felt pen.

Update: after posting this review mentioning the faulty remote, the supplier messaged me offering a full refund (which I accepted) – great customer service so update to 5 star. I didn’t see a way for me to message supplier directly (but that’s an Amazon issue – I have done this in the past)Product: DEWENWILS Indoor Remote Control Outlet, Wireless Remote Outlets Switch (5 Outlets + 2 Remotes)Bought this as had 2 remotes to control the 5 outlets and these are small enough that can put 2 of these outlets side by side in the same standard US wall socket (most are too large and block the other socket). Having 2 remotes is very handy [would take 3 if possible!] as I have one remote near front door [use to switch lights on/off when come in/leave] and another on coffee table in front of TV for adhoc on/off.Came paired for immediate use and each outlet has a green LED light when on – press this to manually switch it on/off [also used (hold down for 5 secs) if need to pair again]Everything was ok for ~3 months then one remote won’t switch anything on/off – tried new battery CR2032 [also tried switching that with the other remote after taking battery out for 10mins] but no joy. When I press any button on non-working remote, it’s little red LED flickers for ~3 secs [the working remote flashes for 1/2 secs]A bit disappointed only lasted 3 months…especially as one of the outlets is now in a difficult to reach place if I need to replace. Giving 3 star – would probably be 5 if one remote hadn’t stopped workingM

Pain in the ass!
Well, they work pretty good, except after about a month, they don’t work very far away, I have one in my living room if I have a glass in front of it I have to move the remote to turn on a light it likes has to have a straight path, sometimes if I’m in the bedroom which is about 20 feet away from the light I have to get a straight path and move about 4 feet closer to get it to work, defeats the purpose of being a remote when you have to get up out of bed to turn the light off! I can’t say I don’t use it but it’s a pain in the ass !

Bought 2.I was worried the 2 remotes might turn on both at the same time, but no. Each remote is just for the unit it came with.I don’t have to worry about battery chargers staying on all night now.They are exactly what I needed. Will order 2 more for my garage. Really handy.After using them for a couple of weeks I have I have now purchased 2 more for a total of 4. I had the same concern again as with the first 2 about remotes from one or more turning on the wrong timer because of cross signals, but again—NO! Each one’s remote is strictly for that timer that it came with and all 4 work perfectly.Great little gadgets!

Installed hanging lights on my mothers condo patio and where the plug is located you needed a step ladder to unplug them. This solved all that and having the timer this couldn’t be more perfect as she can set the timer for the length of time weather it’s get togethers or just a quick 15 minutes to use the barbeque. Absolutely no hassle she was able to just plug it in and worked perfectly. By far the best solution for the issue, got to love Amazon. Great product!!
