Definitely expensive, but definitely amazing
Yes, it’s expensive. It’s also beautiful. It’s easier to refill the water and clean than my last machine. It’s customizable enough to make real coffee lovers have precise control, while easy enough that a novice like me could use it right away. It’s also made the best coffee out of the machines I’ve had. It’s also the first machine where I actually prefer coffee from this machine over any coffee shop I’ve been to. There are probably other coffee makers that are better values, but if you’re willing to splurge on this one, you won’t be disappointed.

Game Changing Machine for Consistent Espresso
Absolutely worth it. If you want effortless, no hassle, café quality espresso at home, this machine delivers. The cold brew and cold espresso features are what sold me they produce consistently smooth, flavorful shots with zero bitterness or sour notes. Every cup tastes balanced and reliable. The Milk IQ system is impressive as well. I’m still have some fine tuning as i want just a little creamier texture, but it’s already performing great. Overall, I’m genuinely impressed with how easy it is to use and how consistently excellent the results are.

Very happy with the Breville Oracle Jet
This semi-automatic replaced a Gaggia super-automatic. There is slightly more work between drinks using the knockbox, wiping out the filter basket, doing a quick flush of the shower head, and giving the shower head a quick wipe, but the quality of the espresso is significantly better.I was considering a machine with a double boiler, but I’m so glad I didn’t get one of those. The jet heating system is ready to brew seconds after turning it on.I made an adjustment to the tamp fan to slightly reduce the size of the dose. You can find a lot of videos online on how to do this. Very easy and only took a minute or two.

Great Machine — Until the Software Broke It
We were really excited about this machine. The Oracle Jet makes excellent coffee when it works. Beautiful design, automatic features, and a great milk system. Then it auto-updated.After the update, the machine completely stopped tamping. We tried everything: full reset, multiple grind settings, all drink profiles, deep cleaning, and even holding the portafilter to the left like forums recommend. Nothing worked. The shots were watery, fast, and had zero crema. The pucks were loose no matter what we did.Customer support forums confirmed we’re not alone — the most recent firmware update seems to have broken the tamping logic. The machine grinds, but doesn’t tamp, which defeats the entire purpose of an automated espresso system. We returned it and ordered a replacement. New unit arrives tomorrow, and we will not be connecting it to Wi-Fi to avoid any future firmware failures. This is a beautiful machine and clearly has potential, but the fact that an update can disable core functionality — and there’s no way to roll it back — is a major red flag.If you buy it, disable auto-updates or skip Wi-Fi entirely. Great coffee isn’t worth espresso PTSD.

Amazing Machine!
This machine is an impressive piece of equipment that really makes quite a statement on your countertop. The stark contrast of black against the shiny chrome is a show-stopper. The features make it almost foolproof to make an amazing drink of your choice, so someone of any skill level can use it. It’s speedy and not terribly loud, compared to other espresso machines I’ve used in the past. My only true issue is with the bean hopper – there is no alert that your beans are running low. If you happen to run out when doing your grind, you don’t get a pause and alert that you’ve run out… instead, you get a partially filled portafilter that you can’t do anything with. Given all the bells and whistles this espresso machine has, I’m just really shocked that *this* particular feature isn’t one of them.

Makes perfect espresso quickly and easily.
This was an upgrade from an older Breville double boiler. Although the Oracle Jet is expensive, it is well worth it. You can make a variety of drinks automatically and quickly with the touchscreen. The Jet heats up in just a few seconds and can be finished brewing espresso within about a minute of turning it on. It has wifi so it will get updates from Breville. Best machine I have owned. Stop debating and just buy it.

It makes an alright coffee but for the price I feel like it should(at least occasionally) bring it to me in bed while wearing lingerie. This thing cost more than my project car, and while neither will currently drive me around town, at least one has the potential to maybe do so someday.Wife told me it was cheaper than starbucks and we’d save money in the long term but we live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest starbucks is over 100km away so I’m not holding my breath.Best eggnog latte I’ve ever had tho

The item was broken, and Breville customer service was no help. I wasted $20 on expensive coffee while Breville told me the machine was broken. Breville offered to replace it, but it would have taken weeks. I found having to manually video chat through Breville’s link to get any help with customer service very intrusive. Since you have to connect the Breville to the internet, they should be able to run a full diagnostic online, like Bosch and Miele.
