Excellent so far!
traded ‘up’ to this from the anova precision 3.0. they both cook the same, but the anova had a REALLY annoying high pitched whine when in use. the inkbird is wonderfully silent and cheaper.pros: silent, holds temp accurately, brings the temp up to set just as quickly as the anova, easy to take the shaft off to clean the coils. display is relatively clean and easy to set time and temp, has a free app that lets you control the device remotely (set time, temp, view time left, on and off). the joule is more than twice as much and can only be controlled via their app (how ridiculous is that?). the inkbird is also on the less expensive end as compared to the ubiquitous mid-range anova and joule devices, especially if you catch it on sale.cons: on the bulkier/larger side (definitely larger than the anova precision 3.0, less ‘sleek’ overall), display can be slightly tough to read at certain angles though never too bad, the app is less polished than the anova and joule and seems to take several seconds to refresh when checking on cook time left on the device. you may also find it doesn’t have as many recipes as the anova (whose recipes are behind a subscription) and joule. not really a factor for me as i find it just as easy to google or ai chatbot times and temps. lastly, there seem to be way too many listings for the same models and poor model numbering in general (even for this model, the ISV-200, there are 2 almost identical listings on amazon, one being a dollar cheaper – but it’s the same exact model). another potential quirk you might not like is that after the cook time is reached, it stops heating, so it’s basically off, and the temp will start dropping. whereas the anova continues to hold the temp indefinitely. not an issue for me as i’m usually home to take whatever i’m cooking out immediately, but ymmv.can’t speak about reliability yet, but seems well built – so far it’s been working fine, having used it almost daily for a week or so, currently halfway doing a 36 hour cook. haven’t had to contact their support yet, but from reading forums and reviews, inkbird seems to be more responsive than anova, at least anecdotally.also to note is the clamp, it’s a simple tension clip which doesn’t open super-wide, so it works better on containers and pots that don’t have too much of a lip (i have the everie 12qt container, which does have about a 1/2 inch lip, it fits with some angling). overall, it’s a winner – gets the important stuff right (temp to set speed, temp accuracy, silent, well priced).

A Must Have Appliance!
Works sooo well! Now, when meat goes on sale I cook it and freeze the pieces individually. Then, in the morning take the needed amount in the frig to thaw. Come evening, just sear them and they are ready to eat! The app works very well!

Good machine
Works great. It’s a bit slow to heat a large amount of water and the Apple is a bit clunky but it works great. Connected to my WiFi router easily

COOKING PERFECTION
You know those things you get and immediately think, “I wish I’d done this years ago”? This unit is definitely one of them. It’s so simple to use, cooks to perfection, and is easy to clean. So far, I’ve cooked a New York strip and some salmon, and I’m cooking another steak for my birthday today!I sealed the seasoned steak in a vacuum pack, put it in the water bath once it quickly reached my desired temperature of 135 degrees, and cooked it for three hours. It may have been the most tender, juicy steak I’ve ever eaten. After the water bath, I seared it for a minute on each side on a 500-degree grill. Next time, I’m going to try cooking it at 125 degrees for two hours just to compare.I like that it’s now so easy to time dinner perfectly instead of scrambling at the last minute while guests wait for the meat to be ready.Good price, good quality, fantastic cooking tool!

Never burn you steaks or any meats again
Sous Vide cooking is even less hassle than using a smoker to cook meats. I loved the ease of smoking all my briskets and Ribs and every other type of meat on my smoker, but I still had to time things out so the food would be ready at particular mealtimes or family get togethers. Sous vide cooking is so much less pressure on timing of meals being finished and ready when you are. I bought this Ink bird sous vide heater and just watched you tube video’s on how to of time and temps of each type of meats you’re going to cook. It does take much more time to cook food compared to the oven cooking time and temps, but let me tell you after you learn to cook meats sous vide style and how juicy and tender everything you cook will come out, it will be hard to go back to the oven and sometimes the smoking of meats. You will be shocked at first, the time it will take to sous vide even a thick steak of 2 hours instead of 10 minutes on a grill, but you will never burn your steak doing sous vide and probably never have more tender steaks.

Must have for every kitchen!
We have been contemplating buying one of these for a few years. After trying food prepared by a chef friend, we finally purchased this. We used it for the first time tonight on chicken breasts and it was fantastic! The temperature control was exact and the integration with the iphone app was simple and really cool. It heated the water very quickly and cooked the chicken to perfection. We can’t wait to try it on other proteins.
