Awesome for Matter Enabled Homes
Put the light in the socket, turned it on, opened Google Home and scanned the bar code sticker in the box. Done.No additional third party apps or accounts needed. It throws a lot of light. I can put two in my ceiling lamp and it feels like the sun. Claims to be a 75 watt equivalent. I’d say it’s plenty of light for most things. Can also dim and change both color and color temperature. I told Google to turn my kitchen light blue and it did. Features all work in automation too.At roughly 10 us dollars per bulb, it’s a little pricey for a light bulb, but way cheaper than a dimmable smart plug and surprisingly entertaining.Feels like a plastic light bulb in terms of quality. I had zero fear when installing.Seems to be standard in size to the common household light bulb.I can’t speak for durability as I just turned it on and off a few times, but it did work, flawlessly with Google Home, out of the box, so it’s a winner.10/10. Will buy again.

works great with home automation
Excellent smart bulbs. Bright, responsive, and easy to set up in the Tapo app. Colors look great and the white light is very bright when needed. Works flawlessly with Alexa and Google Home, and Matter support is a big plus. These are now my go-to smart bulbs.

Great product
My grandson bought these for me and set them up. I had an accident and was not very mobile especially in my upper body and these were a godsend being able to speak to Alexa and telling her to turn them on and off. They also have different colors which is a nice feature and they’re dimmable.

Good for basic functions
These bulbs work fine for basic functions, but I was looking for bulbs that connect via Matter and dim properly with Alexa. This feature is inconsistent and works intermittently, so I decided to return them.

I recommend this, here’s why
It’s easy to set up.You need to download Tapo app from App Store, create an account, have the light switch on and insert, wait for the light blink 3 times. Once you got it on Tapo, open your Alexa or Google Home, and then link the account to it. ( you can find how to in google or YouTube)It’s pretty bright, one bulb is enough for bed room, 2 work great in kitchen, 3 or 4 in living room for that brightness.I use this, it’s so convenient. The weather is getting cold, and it’s hard to pull self out of bed….. by just saying xxx, turn on the light, turn off the light is so easy….. recommend for anybody, even setting this up for your parents, or old ones.

Matter over i) Wi-Fi or ii) Thread ?
Caution:These bulbs use Matter via Wi-Fi.These bulbs do not use Matter via Thread. The packaging could have been more clear.Issue: Someone manually turns off the light (with physical light switch). (It’s tough to not have visitors do this, occassionally). When the light is turned back on (physical switch, again) the light bulbs do not always automatically reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. This means the headache of having to re-pair them to our Wi-Fi network and set them all up again.I was looking for Thread because my understanding was that Thread is more robust about reconnecting than Wi-Fi.(In terms of retaining settings (such as color and brightness) … I’m not sure if that would be stored with the smart device (light bulb in this case), the hub, or perhaps the controlling app (such as on my phone).Summary: I think the labelling can be more clear in this emerging market.

works great
this works great with my alexa system, the 75 watt bulbs function unlike the 100w hue lightbulbs that did not work on my light fixture (fan/light). Setting up with challenging at first, but that’s probably because I did not read directions carefully.

Good Matter support, but weak brightness unless set to ~2700K
I use Apple Home for automation and have a home hub. These Matter-certified bulbs work well with Apple Home and paired instantly in the Home app just by scanning the QR code. So far, on the first day of use, they appear to be totally reliable with Apple Home and work well. The setup was ultra smooth and easy, like all other Matter-certified devices I’ve added to Apple Home. There are a few cons, though:1. The brightness of the bulbs is pretty weak for a 75W-equivalent bulb. At ~2700K, they are at their brightest and somewhere between 60W and 75W. However, when switching to a daylight temperature like 4000K-5000K they are a good bit dimmer… definitely not over 60W-equivalent, possibly less. And for raw colors, they are drastically dimmer, but colors are just a nighttime gimmick anyways and I don’t care about that; I only want to adjust color temperature throughout the day. My big issue is that the daylight temperatures feel dim.2. Some white-range colors are way off with the Apple Home app. Certain near-daylight colors are rendered by the bulb as bright orange, while other smart lights I have render them correctly. It’s not a total dealbreaker as I just adjusted the color swatch to something the bulb can handle, but I was surprised by this.3. For some reason, the Matter QR code is not printed directly on the bulb base, just the ID number. There are QR code stickers included in the box, but this really should have been printed on the bulb itself. I will probably lose track of these stickers in the future, and it will be more complicated trying to re-pair them then, since the Apple Home app wants to scan a QR code.Seems like a good budget bulb that’s reliable, but I’m still on the fence about returning these and just paying up for the Hue bulbs. Overall, my main complaint is the brightness level at daylight temperatures.

not real 4-pack but individual bulbs, open packages and 4 out of 8 deffective (won’t pair so useless). shame…
