Quality and Image clarity along with ease of installation.
I have purchased a number of items from IeGeek and they do not disappoint. This doorbell camera is no exception. I have posted 1 video to indicate the quality of the recorded images. I made a video of the unboxing but can only upload 1 video for the review. The contents and packaging quality is great as I have come to expect. The alert on the doorbell motion detector is excellent as well given that the camera is 1080P. The night vision is also clear in addition to the daytime images. I mounted it on my back door as that is used 99% of the time. Both double sided tape and screws are included for mounting. In addition, a cord for charging the battery is included along with a pin to open the unit for charging making it very simple. The installation was seamless as the instructions in the included manual were very clear. I followed them exactly and connectivity to my WiFi system and paring the doorbell to the indoor chime was about as simple as one could expect. I get an alert on my phone every time motion is detected. I can then open the app and view the activity. The indoor unit also has multiple “chimes” and a volume adjustment. Overall, comparing this unit to much more expensive units, I am most pleased. I have family members who have the more expensive units, and I cannot tell any advantage of those over this unit.

Great all-around Video Doorbell!
This is a great alternative to some of the other more expensive video doorbells you may find out there. From my experience with Iegeek and some of their other products I will say they all have a nice integration of different types of devices all centralized into one Application, which is very easy to use, it is very intuitive. So like with other Iegeek products this has great similar quality in image, motion detection, uses 2.4ghz bandwidth, one of the easiest installation processes you will experience, it takes literally a minute to do. This doorbell is unique and cost effective, it even comes with a separate pre connected doorbell chime device that you can put anywhere. It just allows you to be aware of any door bell rings. I do like how when you press the button on the door bell you experience kind of like a phone call notification, which allows you to view and talk to whoever is at your door. It is a great notification feature, because I’ve lost a lot of notifications with other applications and this one is very easy to access. Very good camera, similar to many other 1080p cameras out there, good overall video, picture, and sound quality. It does allow you to use up to a 128gb microsd card for local storage or you can sign up for the cloud storage for a monthly fee.Overall this is a great camera/video/doorbell device at a very good price, and it covers all your basis and then some. A couple of unique features include the battery, it is big, and it will certainly last a long time before you need to charge it. I think the locking mechanism to keep someone from stealing it is pretty great, especially since it’s a battery powered camera, which allows you to install it virtually anywhere. No need for hardwire plugs or tapping into your houses previous door bell, which makes it really great for customizing the location of where you would like to install it. Overall these two features are a great plus to consider when buying a video doorbell as some require a hard wired power source. Overall I would buy this for my mother, friend or family member.

Only bad thing is the delay
We had an attempted break-in recently and I immediately started looking for cameras. This seemed to be the best option at a reasonable price. So we figured we’d give it a shot. Please know as I write this that I have only just received the product. These are my initial opinions upon setting it up and installing it.1) Very easy to install wirelessly! A concern looking for one of these doorbell cameras was that we don’t currently have a doorbell. I was a smidge worried about how well the wireless would set up after having had a NIGHTMARE of a time setting up my wifi on my August Smart Lock. Thankfully this was VERY easy to install both physically and wirelessly. You just use two screws to attach the bracket for the doorbell to a wall. The doorbell slips in and then you secure it to the bracket using a specialty screw. They provide you with an allen wrench that is the right head for the screw as well. The wireless setup just took installing the app on my tablet and it paired up easily once I used it to scan the QR code in the app. No hiccups. No problems connecting or staying connected. Honestly the most seemlessly I’ve gotten a wireless device (that isn’t something like a phone or tablet) to set up and I have a lot of wireless devices.2) Camera quality. It’s not the best camera, let’s get that out of the way. It’s good enough though to serve its purpose. The several times I’ve had it capture my face as I’ve been fiddling with it, you could clearly see my face and there is no fuzziness. It’s even a decent enough picture as someone walks up onto the porch.3) The motion capture: The start-up is a bit delayed. It takes about 2-4 seconds for the camera to start recording once the motion sensor is activated. I didn’t see this being an issue, and for my purposes I guesssssssss it’s not? My goal is just to get video of any suspicious people on my porch. I did a test and found that if I started several yards away from my front porch and made my way up the steps, to my door, and fiddled with the lock like I was unlocking it. The camera would start recording my movements about the time I “unlocked” my door and opened it.For my purposes this isn’t a huge issue. I had to move the doorbell after installing it, which again is thankfully easy, because having it facing my steps would mean that I wouldn’t have gotten a good picture of anyone. So I moved it to being right next to my door so that anyone standing in front of my door I would get a full picture of. It’s kind of a bummer because the reason I had the bell where I did before was so that if the would be thief came up to my porch and immediately noticed the camera before reaching the door and left, that I would still get a picture of their face. As my husband pointed out though it’s going to take someone a lot longer to attempt to get through our front door than it does me… a person with a key. This does mean though that if someone is just going to be on your porch for a second. Like to steal a package or something. You probably won’t get a good look at them because by the time the motion sensor picks up they will either have turned around and be leaving or already gone. Some other info on the motion sensor though. If you have the motion sensor on then the device will record video with sound when it picks up motion (after the delay). With the 32GB SD card that is provided, you’ll have a good 8-10 hours of video you can have. This is extended more by the fact that you can set the doorbell, via the app, to only record for certain intervals once the motion sensor is activated. It’s 20 seconds, 40 seconds, or 1 minute.4) The doorbell: Figured since it’s a doorbell I should say something about more than just the camera. The doorbell is a pretty good volume and is more than a single chime. So it will definitely get your attention. The second someone rings it, a notification pops up on your device to let you know someone is there and allows you to answer via the mic. If you don’t want to bother though, there IS a setting in the app that allows you to just record a couple of messages. So you can have a message to say you aren’t home, you will be there in a moment, etc.5) Charging: As said before the doorbell is secured in the bracket using a screw. For some reason, you also get provided adhesive strips? This is a confusing addition because if you do that…. yes it would be even harder for someone to try and just take the doorbell out of the bracket but uh…. it also means you are gonna struggle to remove it for charging. From what I understand this device stays charged for a good long while, and if the battery does run low you can see how much juice it has in the app. Then it’s just a matter of removing the doorbell from the bracket and plugging it into a charging cable. I don’t currently have an idea of just how long it takes to charge since it is partially charged on arrival, but I would assume it’s a good idea to just charge it during the day when you are home once you see the battery getting low.6) Night vision: The night vision is decent! That’s just about all I can say about it lol. It looked pretty good to me but this is a feature I don’t intend to use too much as I just leave on my porch light.7) Other things: I was pleasantly surprised that I don’t have to remove the SD card to look at videos. Through the app, you can playback any alerts that have happened. I honestly expected that I was going to have to remove the SD card in order to look at any videos. From what I can tell you do have to remove the sd card in order to delete any videos though. Also taking a moment to say that the look of it is very nice and sleek, I honestly love the look of it.Supposedly there is a weather proofing quality to this device. I have yet to be able to truely test this out. Though it is far enough under my porch that weather shouldn’t be a problem for me. So unfortunately I can’t comment on that quality.Last note. There is a single item you may have to buy for this set up. A USB adaptor for the doorbell ringer. I speak of the circular speaker that you put in your home to be able to hear the doorbell chime. It has a USB plug on it and you will need a place to plug it in. The kit comes with literally everything you need…. except a USB adaptor. So if you don’t have one lying around that you can use for the chime, then that will be the one item you need to purchase to fully set up.Conclusion:Overall it’s a really good device. The ease of installation and use kinda makes up for the delay, but not much. Ultimately that delay is something that keeps this item from going from pretty good to amazing. The delay prevents you from being able to get images of someone who may only spend a couple of seconds on your porch and could cost you the ability to get a clear picture of someone’s face. So as far as being used as a security device…. it could be better. Again, if someone spends enough time on your porch then you will get a good clear video of them, the delay just means you gotta hope they spend more than a few seconds on your porch. If you are wanting to get this for a package thief, as said before, you may want to keep looking. If you just want it for being able to see people who ring the doorbell and not for security then this is honestly a fantastic buy. The doorbell is amazing. The ability to answer through a mic and to hear them through the mic. The video quality is pretty darn good for the price. The ability to record a message is convenient. Seriously if you just want this to be able to check who is at your door without answering, be able to talk to someone without opening the door, or if you want someone to have a quieter option than knocking to alert you to their presence. This is a great buy and I’d say get it.

Impressive packaging and product feels well made.Easy to put together and charge the batteries. The doorbell comes with all the bits and tools you need to install.I charged it up firstly before even going near the front door……once charged I paired the doorbell with the router which was really straight forward.Pairing the doorbell with the chime was a little trickier, it took a couple of goes but I watched the video which is in the app and pressed the reset button on the back of the chime and then it worked fine. Selected the volume and style of the chime through the app and was good to go.I then installed the bell on the door frame and everything works great.I spent a bit of time in the app (Cloudedge) which is free…..tweaked some settings for my use and it all seems to work seamlessly. The images on my phone through the app are very good, I switched to HD to get the best image and then taking screenshots or going back through the doorbell history is straight forward. It’s like a calendar and there is a red dot against the date there has been a detection and then you can see each one in time order. Plus, you can delete them as you go to save space on the built in micro SD card. So, initial impressions and functionality of the doorbell is very good, I will update things in a month or so once ve had to recharge things etc incidentally the app shows how much charge is left which is useful and apparently you get a message when it gets to 20% to remind you too…..I’ve not got to that low level yet and we have tested it quite a lot to make sure the motion detection sensitivity is good for us.

Unfortunately, one of my neighbours was burgled a couple of weeks ago. I hadn’t paid any attention whatsoever to new security features for my house, so I decided that now was the time to get a camera doorbell and another camera round the back to hopefully act as a deterrent. Another neighbour had bought a ‘Ring’ doorbell and recommended it to me but I knew that they were a lot more expensive than other models because they were the first on the market.I had a good look around and read the reviews and decided to risk it with this unknown to me brand – Igeek.Luckily, everything has been great with it.It was a lot cheaper than the Ring one with similar features. It was easy to set up on the phone, even though I’m not much of a techie. It must’ve taken me all of 10 minutes. Physically screwing onto the wall was dead easy too, probably took me 5 minutes. There’s a very clever little mechanism to detach the back support. Any time you want you can remove the front with the camera, for example to change the batteries you can do so really easily. However it isn’t something that I’ll probably have to do very much as even after one week, the battery charge doesn’t seem to have reduced at all.So setting up was dead easy and it worked straight away. There was a small hitch because it kept on sending me notifications and then I realised that it was detecting people walking past on the street. That was also very easy to rectify as there is a way to reduce its sensitivity, i.e. decrease the distance of its detection. I found that easily and reduced it and now it only detects people who are about 3 m from my door. Now it saves me going anywhere near the front door which is particularly useful because in this area on most days you get an unwanted caller and now I just tell him to go away without having to open the door to them. Hopefully it will all also act as a deterrent for any potential burglars.I have already recommended it to the Neighbour who was unfortunately burgled explaining to him that it is cheaper and probably better than my other neighbours ‘Ring’. I have also recommended it to my sister who is a complete tech phobe because I am sure that even she would be able to set it up ok.I have opted for the free service. You get about six seconds worth of free storage on the cloud. Most days I review any videos and delete them. I have not installed any memory cards yet, although I intend to sometime in the future..But for now, I’ve got everything I wanted. It shows me who’s at the door and records it for a short time.I would definitely recommend getting the doorbell camera and the separate camera. They have a lot of features that I haven’t mentioned, look very robust, very well priced, very good picture, reliable and easy to set up.
