A fantastic value upgrade from LIFX — easier to set up, good performance, and way less hassle
I picked up two 4-packs of these Govee smart bulbs during a sale to replace a set of aging LIFX bulbs I’ve been using since 2017. After eight years of syncing, grouping, and trying to get everything working just right with LIFX, I finally decided it wasn’t worth the extra cost for features I rarely used. One LIFX bulb had failed, and a couple others were getting flakey with connectivity. I wanted something simpler that still gave me color and scheduling — and Govee delivered.Setup was incredibly easy. These new bulbs were detected almost instantly when I plugged them in. A couple of taps in the app, and they were connected and even auto-integrated with Alexa. That’s a huge improvement from earlier smart bulb setups (even earlier Govee ones I own). I now have seven of the eight bulbs installed along with two Govee light strips, all grouped and running Halloween scenes on my patio. It’s been a solid setup so far.Compared to LIFX, the color control and brightness aren’t quite as dynamic. The LIFX strips, especially, had more nuanced transitions and stronger color saturation. But in practice, the difference just doesn’t matter much — especially when synced to music. After years of trying to get light/music syncing to be something magical, I’ve come to realize it’s more of a gimmick than a feature. Govee still delivers good color scenes and effects, and unless you’re obsessive about subtle hue shifts, you’ll be more than satisfied.I’ve used Govee products for at least five years now — four bulbs and two strips — and they’ve been very reliable. One older bulb has a minor issue where it doesn’t completely turn off and glows faintly like a nightlight. But after that much usage, I’m fine with that. It’s a minor flaw, and the overall track record is solid.These bulbs have made my smart lighting more manageable. They’re easier to set up than LIFX, play well with Alexa, and give me the features I use most without overcomplicating things. Good for a low tier Smart Home
I ordered these specifically for the Bluetooth feature. I have low tier WiFi and can’t upgrade if I wanted to so I have to manage what devices get WiFi use. These are my first smart light purchases and I was skeptical but they have performed perfectly. WiFi use is minimal, lots of colors to choose from. The light adjustment isn’t that noticeable unless you go from 100 to 60, big drops in numbers your able to tell. Setup in the Govee app is a breeze and the Google home integration is very good, however you will need to use the Govee app for the extra little features. I also recommend getting the Govee Music Sync Box since the app doesn’t allow the phone to sleep while listening to music.

These lights are amazing!
I’ve had Bluetooth light in my house for some time now, but felt as if it was time for an upgrade as my old lights were very inconsistent when trying to turn on and off. I was recommended these from a friend and I literally love them! They work with WiFi and can be connected to amazons Alexa and work seamlessly, works with any lamp and are super responsive and bright! Will recommend these 100%.

So easy to set up and sync! Works 100% with Google Home!

Two of the set of four are working fine. Whoever unfortunately, the other two bulbs are defective and won’t work. I tried to contact the seller maybe they can send a replacement but sadly I couldn’t get a hold of them. So far the product has been 50% success rate so i highly recommend finding another seller that might offer a better customer support if the items are defective.
