Perfect Milk Frother for Everyday Use
This Bodum milk frother works perfectly and is incredibly easy to use. It heats and froths milk quickly, creating smooth, creamy foam every time. The compact design looks great on the counter and doesn’t take up much space. It’s ideal for lattes, cappuccinos, and hot chocolate. Simple one-button operation and consistent results make it a great addition to any coffee setup. Excellent quality for the price—highly recommended!

You need to know that it does not turn off after frothing. If you do not t urn it off manually, the warmer will toggle on and off and “cook” the cream to the sides and bottom of the machine which makes for difficult cleaning. I turn mine on when I pour the water into my french press. I turn it off as soon as frothing ends. Cream separates from foam as I press my coffee. I use a knife to hold back the foam and get the cream into my cup of coffee then release the cream for a nice frothy top.I have learned that if I turn it off immediatly and rinse it out immediatly (before sitting to enjoy), there is no need to “wash” the machine. The propellar is magnetic and if you remove it for cleaning it will stick to everything magnetic and most likely be soon lost.Be sure your machine is dry before using again. I invert mine on a towel after rinsing then return it to its base in the evening and its ready to go the next morning. You will loose the frothing if:* your machine has the cream “build up” from not immediatly rinsing.*your machine isn’t dry before use*you use some cheaper creams

Doesn’t last. Poor engineering design and manufacturing.
This is exactly how things poorly designed and manufactured perform. After 9 months it stopped working: no turning rotor, only heat. My wife carefully cleaned it after every use so no water would ingress. So I opened it out of curiosity. Every screw was rusted, a small electronic PCP had water stains and calcium, the electrolytic cap was barely attached to it; the small rectifier chip traces were covered with salt and stain. I wonder if these designers know what conformal coating is. There is also no proper sealing of the assembly for the environment it operates in (wet, wet, humid…). It’s just garbage. Don’t buy it.

Well, now I feel like I have Starbucks in my own kitchen
I’m tired of paying eight bazillion dollars at the coffee places. I was found and determined to make my own at home and I love this frothed. It’s really easy to figure out and I’ve tried all different milks. I’ve tried regular milk, oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk. I think the oat milk frothed the best. But it worked on all of them. Honestly better than some of the coffee places I go to. It’s really durable and I feel I’ll probably have it for a long time. I feel very fancy sitting at my kitchen table having my latte and my cappuccino and imagine the money I’m going to save. I think it’s worth the initial purchase.

Good little frother for the price – cleaning tips included here.
My wife and I used mostly for non-dairy milks (Soy, Flax, and Coconut). It didn’t really froth these milks greatly. Soy yielded the best results. The frother got the milk nice and hot. Used 2-4 times a day for 6 months until it stopped working just last week. Used for caffe latte’s, chai teas, and hot cocoa. While it was working, we really enjoyed it. It was super user-friendly and simple. Customarily, we would froth the milk, rinse it out with hot water then store it upside down in our kitchen sink strainer. If I had been more on top of thoroughly cleaning it after each use, it probably would have lasted longer. (I don’t fault the company for this, nor does my star rating reflect my own personal negligence). The stir-tool in the center of the cup was magnetic and pulled out very easily for cleaning. The heater was at the base of the reservoir, so after a few days of use, there would be a layer of solidified, or caked-on milk that would collect on the bottom. After struggling to clean this effectively for a while, the successful formula that worked for me was to, once a week, soak it in vinegar, then scrape that caked milk off with the flathead end of a Tupperware orange peeler. I used this because the sharp edge was plastic and didn’t damage the non-stick coating of the reservoir like a knife or spoon would. After the big chunks were shaved away, I would then take a toothbrush with a bent neck 90°, then use that to agitate/clean the bottom surface of the reservoir. Sounds tedious, but it was not bad. I already had the toothbrush in my arsenal. Then to clean the “frother” tool (spring looking device), I would soak in vinegar then take a toothbrush to it.Sometimes to soften up the caked-up milk at the bottom, I would run the frother with 1/4 vinegar in it to heat everything up…that seemed to help.Near the end of it working, the motor still seemed to make a noise, but the frother tool wasn’t spinning. It was almost like a grinding gear sound. It was intermittent for the last couple months, until one day we never got it to spin again. Tossed it in the trash.I don’t regret buying this, it was our first frother. I will probably buy another one of these eventually. In the meantime, I am going to try out a couple other brands in the price range. For $30 can’t beat it. That’s the price of 6 caramel macchiatos from Starbucks!

Solid Investment
I would buy this product again and again. It’s light, small, easy to clean, fits in the cabinet and whips up the perfect amount of hot milk with froth/foam! I have an espresso machine and frother all in one machine and though I have to admit, the frothing issue is probably my lack of skills but this machine does it for you and it turns out far better and at a fraction of the cost. We make the best hot lattes at work these days!

Since receiving this electric milk frother, I’ve used it every day. It heats the milk perfectly and makes it very frothy. I have used it with homo milk, almond milk and even with skim and the froth consistency is exactly the same. I highly recommend this as Bodum is an excellent company with quality products and look at the price! What can Keurig or Nespresso milk frother do that the Bodum can’t at 1/3 of the cost? Also this is super easy to clean and dry with little effort which is a bonus!

I am sure this is a great machine, but on receipt found it was not fitted with an english plug, my mistake but something to be aware of and the fact that it came from so far away, I thought it was something that Amazon distributed, again my mistake. All good though and returned accepted.

I have the Nespresso unit at home for which I paid roughly $100. I never use the cold froth option so the fact that the Bodum doesn’t have that was of no concern at all. The Bodum unit was intended for my office at work as I couldn’t justify spending another $100 to have the Nespresso one at work as well. This turned out to be the perfect decision as this one froths just as fast, as quietly and as effectively as the Nespresso. I would say that the Nespresso unit is heavier and feels a bit more solid, but they both render the same result at a big different in cost.I used to use half and half in my frother but every time I had to clean it, it bothered me to see how much fatty gunk half and half left behind that I had to scrub off. It made me wonder about the buildup on my insides! I’ve since gone non-dairy and have found some amazing barista blend oat milks that froth exactly like half and half and with the same richness but nothing fatty left behind. A quick rinse and I’m done! Zero cholesterol and it makes me feel a whole lot better about my daily lattes. I’m doing the same with the Bodum and getting great results. Thick, rich and velvety but without the guilt and health concerns. Keep in mind, we are what we repeatedly do! Cheers.

First use and the bottom just burns as does the milk? Unfortunately the return date has passed and I will now have to purchase something else
