Demian –
Durable Metal Case; Difficult 4-Pin Connector
I ordered it because I needed a stand-alone webcam for my gear setup. While I only needed a basic camera, the extra features are good to have, especially the HDR capability which ensures the image stays clear in high contrast lighting. And the 101 degree wide angle M12 lens is able to capturing a much larger field of view than a standard consumer webcam. It is indeed a “plug and play” in my experience, which makes it a good choice for those who want a simple connection without the hassle of installing custom drivers. That being said, the 4-pin connector on the back isn’t easy to attach or detach. This presents a challenge if your setup requires you to uninstall and reinstall the cable frequently, as the connection is quite tight. And the cable is USB-A instead of USB-C, which is a drawback for those trying to maintain a modern, standardized cable setup.
