Excellent & safe device for our needs
With the 4G of ram and 32G of storage this device is top notch for it’s specs. If your looking to get away from spying google on this unit it won’t happen as it forces you to enter google mail address info as soon as you fire this thing up. I also own a Z11 P. M. and it won’t force me to use google & I don’t but it’s price is way more than this unit is. I keep google out of my Z11 but I can’t use google play store, but no loss there really. I actually bought 2 of these G1 boxes, one for me and one for the boss lady & overall I am happy with the results. Developer/loading apps desired works great & speeds of this unit on access, loading video to play is enormously faster & better than those sticks. I noticed both boxes never updated at all out of the box which is somewhat of a concern as most always there are updates when you get out something new, but they work very well. I have had these for about a month or so and it still shows kernel version from August 2nd, 2023. My Z11 updated 2 or 3 times & there were 2 updates out of the box, just for educational note for the tech people out there that would like to know. BEWARE of some of these cheap Hong Kong Phooey boxes as they have viruses in the firmware that are undetectable & many brands of them are sold on here. Search that for more info. This unit is Google & Netflix certified so no worries. The Android 11 operating system works pretty well & stable. It is very sad that there is zero support anywhere for this unit that I can find online at all from this company so if that is an issue for you then maybe look to the other unit I have discussed here. It has much online support. Kinhank does have a website and you can email them, so I guess you can get some help if needed although I have never needed to and have not done so. I have never used the Chromecast but it does have the capability to do so. Picture quality/speed/access are all very good. I do highly recommend this device!

Excellent device, even though the remote was D.O.A.This was remedied by Amazon/Kinhank. Loaded Projectivy Launcher for complete control of screen content, no ads and the box runs smooth and fast. Would definitely buy again.

Auto updates to Android TV 14.2.2
To answer the question it does have Android TV 11 pre-installed. First thing the system does in boot is ask you to pair the Bluetooth remote to the device. The second thing it does is check for Android operating system update. Mine updated to 14.2.2. automatically.Hope that helps clear that up for you.

Kinhank G1 is cutting edge
The Kinhank G1 is a world improvement over competitors set top boxes. Very above Roku’s non-HD locked down, lacking google play atore access. This generic android accesses the google play store, working flawlessly, meaning, start wirh your Open VPN or IKEv2 app, in the VPN maker’s app, or acquire Mikotik or GL.i.net router, and a minute later, it is connected. Add all otherapps, etc.The picture is real HD, with an optical plug for 5.1 home theatre audio, directly in the back. The audio commands given bring A.I. innovation and work instantly. Something we would expect from a top Tier brand of Sony, Panasonic, or similar, right here.

Ditch the Firestick For This
Kicked the Firestick habit. Amazon dominates with their own apps and your Firestick is full. This has 32GB of storage. I have countless apps on this with room for more. Like with a lot of these boxes the remote is about a 8 or 9 out of 10 but bearable. Most android apps has pretty much the same interface and like this one. No complaints here. Eventually replacing all my Firesticks.
