A good set if you don’t already have a home security camera setup
An excellent set if you’re looking to have a diversified camera system for your home or business. As this one comes with two outdoor cameras and a video doorbell, it should cover most of your basic needs. The Outdoor 4 cameras are clear and easy to set up and even at night, you can adjust infrared lighting to supplement any to no lighting. The video doorbell is also clear. Keep in mind that the video doorbell uses a fisheye lens to get most of what’s directly in front and the sides of the immediate area in front, about 4 to 5 feet. Any farther and your Outdoor 4 camera(s) could be used to supplement what’s going on. Each of the cameras detect motion and and start recording upon detection of movement, vehicles, or people. The algorithms or AI make pretty good determination of this. Keep in mind, this can run on AA batteries or an external power source like a solar pane that would plug into the USB-C port on the back. However, if you’re looking for something that gives you consistent live-view or multiple-camera view, you may want to look for another option. As far as power, if you’re going to do consistent live view (and only one camera at a time), you’ll probably want your cameras plugged in for power to an outlet. These are meant to be wireless as far as power. These cameras are good if you only need to know when the cameras detect something, making you go to the app and opt to use the live view to see what’s going on. You can only view cameras from the app, you can’t log into a website to watch from your browser. The doorbell can be hard-wired for power to a regular doorbell setup, in effect replacing the traditional doorbell and having consistent power for the video camera. It’s still a good system, just be sure to study what your wants and needs are first for a video system and then determine if not consistently monitoring your video is for you, only watching clips of what’s going on when it records something.

Great sense of security
I love the blink cameras. I have used them for over 5 years now. They are low cost but very reliable and efficient way to self home security. The picture and video quality is great and allows you to switch to different qualities depending on the use. It requires very minimal tools depending on where you are placing them and the brackets you are using (normally just a screwdriver). You only have scanned the QR code on the devices and they automatically connect to the sync module. Blink definitely gives me a sense of security

Great camera system!
This whole camera system is fantastic. We are just so happy with the motion detection and connectivity as well as all the available settings. So far so good on battery life and the subscription price is reasonable as of the end of 2025. Great value for money and brightness is just right for both day and night.

Good System but Miss the Old Sync Hub Features
I like Blink products in general, and this new video doorbell + outdoor camera system has better image quality than the older generation. Setup is quick, the battery life is great, and the head-to-toe view is a nice upgrade. But I really miss the old Sync Module with the USB port for easy local storage. The new core version feels more limited in that way. Overall, still a solid security setup, just wish they kept the USB local storage option.

Want to use their “cloud”? Great. Don’t want to? Then you can have issues.
I’ve only had my system up and running for a week. It is working fine. There is good and bad here… The Good: If you want to use the blink system with their “cloud” access and recording – The set up is easy and amazing – I had a base unit, 3 cameras, and a doorbell all set up in less than 40 min (I did use some fast clips for mounting rather than screw things in as it was near zero degrees and storming when I set everything up). The Bad: if you want to purchase the XR base and their micro sd card, but you only want to use them only and NOT in conjunction with the “cloud”, that is when things get complicated. They abso-f’n-lutely want you in their “cloud” family, if you try to deviate from that plan (aka leave the family) – you can run into hours of issues trying to reset things to do what you want to do with no help from their website or instructions. They are also sneaky and mean about starting their “free cloud trial”. I clicked NO every time they asked…so many times…and then I was in one area and couldn’t get out of that area without clicking “Ok” to whatever was stopping me from leaving – turns out that was when I got stuck into their “cloud” system. Not cool! If you go with their plan – great! If you don’t, you’ll need to pack some patience and work through stuff, but it can be done.

Great Security System
I installed this system a few months ago and it has performed wonderfully. The high quality cameras gives us a clear view of the front and rear of our home. The doorbell camera works great and allows us to communicate with those at the front door.

Reliable and easy to set up, no issues here!
Easy to activate and they are holding up in the sub zero temps. The temp alert feature is helpful. The app ties the video clips together so there is a consolidated playback of what each camera picks up around the house. Viewing and video/sound is decent. You’re not going to make an IMAX movie from the video, but its pretty good.Doorbell does not have the same detection field as the cameras (smaller), but works well. Good product for the price!!
