Not ready for prime time!
I bought this even though there were no reviews at the time. It looked good in the listing, but in real life, the are serious problems.1. I could not get it to connect to my phone so to setup the network connection, so I don’t know if the Wi-Fi would have worked or not, or how robust its ability to program it from the app.2. The instructions did not match the firmware on the device. Also they showed 4 AA batteries instead of the rechargeable blocks (including a spare) that came with the unit.3. The instructions only showed doing the setup using the lock’s keypad, using a series of arcane numeric inputs. Totally unacceptable for a modern device. The app may have more capability, but I was never able to get that far.4. The physical installation was a little weird, requiring the screws used to hold the two sides of the lock together to be cut off to the correct length for the door’s thickness.I tried to find updated documentation on their web site, but it was just the same as the printed manual provided with the unit.I really liked the idea of facial recognition on a lock, but this was just too frustrating to try to get that.
