So far so good
This has been up about a week and so far so good. I did attach to my metal door instead of the frame/trim so I get alerts whenever I open the door but that surface was smoother than the trim. I did have to attach the backing to the camera (that you use the little orange tool to remove) as the cover plate did not come off but the 4 screws still lined up. Anyone with that little orange tool or strong enough to rip it off the door can steal it – it’s not locked down at all so keep that in mind. I had also tried the off brand door clamp and that seemed to be even easier to steal and didn’t fit due to the door window trim.Edit: it’s been a few months now and this works great. It’s had direct sunlight, weather, and is still stuck on well. I’ve charged the camera – which you have to remove from the mount and it was super easy.

So, it works fine. Although it did fall off the door after a week, but I put it right back on and it has stayed in tact for a long time now.

Great and Easy Ring Doorbell Mounting.
This is perfect for a no drill mount for my ring doorbell. Goes up in just seconds. I have had it up on an exterior glass door for about six months and it is still going strong. Fits the Ring doorbell as described and is totally easy to install. I highly recommend.

Fell off after 3 days
I am not allowed to drill holes in my door at my apartment complex so I originally bought this with my Ring doorbell in order to use it at my apartment. I cleaned the surface and followed all instructions, but the camera fell off after only 3 days. I thought maybe the first set of strips were a bad batch so I tried their second set it came with and it fell again after 1 day!My advice: Buy this for the back plate to attach to your doorbell, then separately purchase 3M double sided black tape to attach on the backside of this plate which will last you so much longer. That solution has lasted me 6 months with no issues compared to the three days of their adhesive constantly falling off. You can get a 15 foot roll for pretty cheap on here which last you for probably years.
